She forgot fathers day. Again. Nice. Not that i expected a thing from her, its not like that. But they are my life, and it would have meant a lot to get a card or something from my wee ones on this day.

She's Icelandic, right? Father's Day is a US holiday, so she's probably not inundated with Father's Day Sale flyers and constant TV commercials to remind her of the date.

They don't celebrate Father's Day in Germany, but in Venezuela they do, so invariably we did celebrate today...

Chef.. I know that feeling. It is very hard for me to get a compliment. I would much rather have a day to spend staring into the eyes of a s/o than get a gift.
There have been a few that would sneak something to me though. It would make me feel emotions I didn't know I was capable of.

I am picking up my little one next weekend. Nope not a child but a little boxer pup. That is the closest to being a dad as I have gotten.
I can't wait. I am sure the 4 hour drive there will take a lifetime but the drive back will flash by in seconds.
