A few small problems with some of the favoured fat burners
1. All CNS (central nervous system) stimulants, caffeine, ephedra, clenbuterol, all have the possibility of rebound once you come off them. THe body adjusts quite quickly to these, and will eventually slow down your metabolism.
2. Caffeine in excessive doses promotes cortisol, which will have a tendency to increase central obesity, or fat on your belly.
3. There are some risks that have been found with the use of clenbuterol, such as heart cell death, osteoporosis, decrease in strength and endurance, which does not really work well with training
4. Aspirin and all NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatories) inhibit the formation of prostaglandin from arachnadoic acid. This will halt all muscle growth DEAD. THe inflammatory response is necessary for muscle growth.
So taking ECA with the intentions of the 'holy grail' in bodybuilding of burning fat and gaining muscle is not at all possible.
There are a few 'new' supps that may work for fat burning, but really, unless you are planning on stepping on a stage and flexing, I would stick with training and a good diet.
