because it's much easier to mass communicate. everyone checks their facebook. it's much easier to avoid EF or forget to log in. especially on a thread that gets shoved to the bottom or is on a lost forum like "sports"...which the last one was

iggy's group event invite was smart because it's basically a subpage for the league.
