ECA forever? why cycle?

OK from what I've been reading Ephedra continues to keep working to increase metabolism. The only effects that are lost over time are the side effects increased heart beat and blood pressure jitteryness ect.. Now I havn't found any medical proof stating that it should be cycled, only from what I've heard here on the boards. Now I'm sure that the caffine gets immune to but I'm not so sure about ephedra stopping to work to get the 3% increase in metabolism. What about yohimbe any reason to cycle that?
 
Long term use of ephedrine can fuck up your heart rate and serotonin levels in your brain. I've also read that long term use of yohimbe results in a weak heart.
 
Take it from someone who has experienced it, you don't want to stay on ECA too long. I spent 2 years using it too much and the effects were not good. Reduced blood flow/enlarged prostate; nerves felt like they were blown out.

This may not sound too severe, but you will have a much healthier feeling in general if you use the ephedrine 2-4 weeks at a time, and stay off it much of the year.

Try alternatives like norephedrine, yohimbine, green tea extract, etc.

One of the problems I had with ECA "abuse" was overtraining. 3 hrs. in the gym - no problem. I would rest 10 mins and feel like I could just keep on lifting. Rollerblade to Timbuktu? No problem, 4 times a week.

After awhile you're just wearing out your body as opposed to the real goal which is to burn fat and get a slight boost.

I hear some guys here pop 5-6 ephedrine pills before a workout. I don't know how they do it!!!

Oh yeah I was also getting the pounding heart and high heart rate, lack of sleep, etc. My heart rate is much lower now that I don't use ephedrine.
 
You guys need to read more studies.

1. Ephedrine keeps you leaner and is a great
nutrient partitioning agent
Increases protein synthesis and decreases
fat deposited.


2. Ephedrine stimulates the beta-3 receptors.
These receptors NEVER down-regulate.
These receptors work through BAT.
It is theorized that long-term ephedrine
treatment increases BAT weight.
More BAT=higher metabolism.
BAT=Brown Adipose Tissue


3. Ephedrine increases HDL cholesterol.

4. On several studies done on rats ECA-
treated rets were leaner AND LIVED LONGER
than their non-ECA treated counter-parts.

5. The stimulative effect of ephedrine wanes after
10-12 weeks use but ITS METABOLISM-ENHANCING
PROPERTIES ARE STILL PRESENT.

Yohimbine is not recommended for long-term use.
Ephedrine icertainly is. It was used as an anti-asthma
drug for very long periods.

As long as you don't have any pre-existing cardiovascular
conditions, long-term use isn't unhealthy.

Thats just my take on it though.

Fonz, you arrogant SOB I have read all those studies, why do you think I was taking it for 12 and 16 weeks at a time for 2 years. It had its effect in preserving lean mass / avoiding catabolism while dieting. But I maintain that excessive use of this or any strong stimulant will be very harsh on the nervous system. Also do you really think it is safe to have a heart rate 20 beats above normal for months at a time?

And even 3-4 doses a day for more than 6-8 weeks will start to have the negative effects IMO. Not the first time maybe, but after the second and third.

Maybe not when you're 21 but you will notice after a few years that you're wearing your body out.

The boost in athletic performance is incredible - the stuff works. But looking back on taking 3-4 ECA's before a squash game, doing frigging backflips on the court and beating the opponent 15-2, 15-2 ad nauseam before my 3 hr weight workout ... something says to me that no one should be that stimulated for an extended period of time.

Also at age 21 I had no idea what my prostate even was. Take ECA all the time and you will soon find out.

I firmly believe the purpose of these boards is to exchange real life experiences about the effects drugs are having on people whose experiences are most similar to our own - not just post medical studies which anyone can read.

We have a board here where some will post that it's effective to pop 10 mg of dbol before a workout (how do you grow on 10 mg of dbol - why not just be natural and eat right), but then will turn around and say that 3-4 doses of ECA a day is ok.

I tried backing off to 2 and then 1 dose of ECA daily for my preworkout boost. And guess what? 1 dose of ephedrine 25 mg and 2-3 coffees a day was more than enough to provide the needed kick. 2 doses a day provided a fat burning effect.

Yes I will take it again but will not go above 2 doses a day and will remember to cycle off after 4 weeks. I'll also be trying clen. But never DNP. Good luck.
 
I personally do not like it for extended periods of time. Last summer I used it for around seven weeks straight. When I came off I crashed hard. I had no motivation and was tired for at least three weeks after I stopped taking it. Now I limit myself to 3-4 weeks tops and have no ill affects from it. I think anything used excessively will have detrimental affects on you...
