Eating meats for protien??? Need advice

I recently talked to a nutritionalist (female) that told me about some of her experiences with eating meats versus not.

She said that when she eats a lot of meat ove a couple of days, she can feel her stomach bulging, she feels lethargic, and her joints are achy. But when she eats only very small amounts of meat in a week (MAYBE 1 OR 2 SERVINGS OR NONE AT ALL), uses protien supplements like bars and shakes, and eats more vegetables, then she has tons of energy to spare. She says she feels better, her joints do not bother her, and her stomach stays flatter. She is 42 years old and in great shape.

When I cut down a while back and was at 11% BF, I used a ton of protien shakes..I ate 1 or 2 cans of tuna per day OR one or two servings of chicken only. I felt great, abs were visible and I did not have a hint of joint pain.

Lately, the last six to 8 months, I have been trying to keep bulking and wait until next spring to cut down hard, I did not do any cutting at all this past summer, while maintaining 15 to 17% BF. I have put on some nice amount of weight ( I know some of it is fat), but it seems as if I am nore lethargic than ever and my joints bother me constantly..

Does anyone have any information that correlates eating too much meat? What is anyone's opinion on this subject?

I"ve been doing it for years with no problems like that. The only time my joints hurt is when I cut my fats down to 50-60g/day for about 12wks. Are you lifting heavier when your eating more meat?

I am just wondering...I am willing to try about anything to get my joints to quit bothering me...She did not say to cut it out altogether...just cut it down some. I don't know though, I like eating beef.

It can be difficult to get 300+ grams of protein a day just from meat and keep all your macros in line, not mention having all that food in your stomach and getting nauseous eating all those dry chicken breasts. I eat 5oz of lean beef everyday regardless of my diet but get at leat 200g a day from shakes. BTW, beef is just loaded with zinc and other nutrients....
