Drinking

I get drunk about once or twice a month. How much does this decrease, and or slow my muscle gains?

Drunk, once or twice a month LOL .... it's a keen to snorting some crack once or twice a month...how bad can that be? *smirk on my face*
Sorry, my friend, drinking is VERY BAD...I consider getting drunk as one of the MOST counterproductive things you can do as a weightlifter...this of course does not count a glass of vine here and there...but, DRUNK is a different story...the estrogen levels are proven to rise and testosterone to decrease and a catabolic state to set in: does that sound like it benefits muscle gains? of course not, it negates all your hard work. If you are looking for the "drunk high" then stick w/ 1-2g of GHB..just don't drive a car..PLEASE

Mr.X

It is ok to have the occasional drink but geting wasted is not going to help your cause.I personally do not drink and i still have a great time out(without drugs and alcohol)!!!

If you like drinking then dont stop it is possible to make gains they will just be much slower I know I like to drink (I am in college) Try to find a balance if yo dont you will just be making yourself unhappy by giving up one enjoyment for another.
