Well.... that's true but my weight cutting was in Jr high. I walked into the high school @ 158 with state placers in 155, 145 and 137. I wrestled up 167 my freshman year as my best option for varsity and I managed half the varsity matches my freshman year....wrestled off every week and it was close every match.

Perhaps, I benched 260 my freshman year in "Advanced Conditioning" and I never lifted weights beforehand; I also squatted 560. I was forced to take the class because they were trying to create a weight lifting program for athletes that didn't violate the state rules. I mostly sat around and talked to my friends....I was 158 pounds soaking wet.

You wrestle laces up because you should always be on the attack but I was too arrogant and thought I could make low percentage take downs my bread and butter...My coach never saw a better fireman's carry than mine....

The upset was Mcintosh losing to Heflin because Mcintosh was favored by everyone to win the NCAA title at 197. You can't count out the Massilon wrestlers...I faced some my freshman year that would have easily wrestled varsity in 90% of Ohio programs. Ohio State has an underrated program...

He was technically never found "guilty" of anything and never had criminal convictions against him of any kind.

The one time he was "guilty" of anything was when he was out on a treasure hunt when he was like 17 and bullshitting people about how to find treasure. He wasn't the only person doing that at the time, and he was just a kid, and got in trouble with the local court for wasting peoples time and efforts.

It was something like that, I'd have to look at the specifics of it, but it wasn't anything technically criminal.

I couldn't list them all. All false allegations, of just about anything you can think of. Google will find websites lifting most of them. Almost all were immediately dismissed by a judge.

He was once held in a jailhouse cellar for over 6 months without cause.

He was tarred and feathered by a mob in the middle of the night. One of his baby children died from complications due to exposure because of that incident.

The governor of Missouri issued a genocidal extermination order of the Mormon people. That order want revoked until like 10 or 15 years ago. For real.

He and his brother ended up getting killed in jail by a mob. They were in jail on false charges. They actually turned themselves in because the local militia threatened to kill everyone in the city in Nauvoo, Illinois, if they didn't show up.


Guy had a really rough life actually. Regardless of people's opinions or perceptions of who he really was as a person, he was a very determined and courageous person.
