Going from high school wrestling to Greco-Roman during the summer between my sophomore and junior year was a big wake-up; I did it to improve my skills on my feet but it was like waking into a different world. My bread and butter was lower body control wrestling....

Wrestle "laces up" was the most pedantic advice I ever heard because my coaches never explained it properly or more likely I was too stupid to take the advice. You wrestle laces up because you should always be on the attack but I was too arrogant and thought I could make low percentage take downs my bread and butter...My coach never saw a better fireman's carry than mine....
