dose squats become so much easier with a belt?

What kind of belt was it?
I find that a real powerlifting belt can make a squat easier (thick stiff belt, full 4 inch width all the way around). Cheap flimsy belts that are narrow in front and wide in the back do little, if anything.

A good belt adds leverage particularly when trying to explode off the bottom.

A belt helps to reduce the stress on your spine by decreasing the cross sectional area of your abdomen and increasing intra-abdominal pressure. Always using a belt can weaken the supporting muscles, but a belt for heavy low rep sets is a good idea and can make back injury less likely. My philosophy is to strengthen your core and supporting muscles with lighter, higher rep sets, and use the belt for heavy sets, ie, max effort and around 4 reps or less.

lol I was exploding at the bottom and going fast that my spotter started telling me to go slower so my last few reps was a nice 2 second pause...I am so motivated right now lol
 
i think if your weak point is in your abs and lower back the belt helps out alot because the belt helps the lowerback/abs stabilise. if your weakpoint is your legs then it will help but not as much.

learn how to use a belt and then never use them again until a competition. training should be done raw.
 
I have a very thick powerlifting belt. I use it on squats/deads. But also I thought I was developing a hernia so I use it prettymuch all the time now. I don't see anything wrong with wearing a belt on squats, You should train your lower back some directly so I don't see it making you as fragile as some say.
 
Belt is a crutch. I may use a belt a few times a year on max attempts. But for the most part it's no belt, no wraps, no spotter. High bar and atg.
 
I work out in saudi arabia right now.....and u never see anybody squatting or dead lifting....no body has legs...even the huge guys that already took every drug in the pharmacy that they have no more drugs to grow off of....u find guys with HUGE upper bodies but no legs...its almost like a Photoshopped picture...and the ones that do have legs speak fluent English with a good accent...and when u go to a gym with allot of branches with lots of newbeis...strangers just come and spot u with out u even asking them...they fuk up ur set it gets u pissed...they curl the bar for u...I once yelled at a personal trainer that looked like he never lifted in his life...than when I apologized to him he said....my father use to train the Egyptian army WTFFFFF I didnt even respond to him I just let it go...right now I workout at a privately owned gym where ppl inject their biceps in the looker room infront of everybody with allot of huge guys...but still no legs...ppl keep telling me to use a belt when I squat...but I just tell them I don't like to...than we just ignore each other....which is a good thing...and ppl dont just come and spot u without asking them which is another good thing
 
i did comp. powerlifting and a belt really helps...im talking like a legit 10mm or 13mm belts
i used a 10mm
but i didnt use it every rep just when Id it heavy reps anf it deffffffffff. helps but takes a whilr to break in

than when I was working out I was thinking maybe that Egyptians father that had his soldiers lift weights was so they can torture the citizens...that's the only explanation....shit I mean why else would u let your soldiers lift weights?
and that egyptian personal trainer a few months ago started loading up on gear and all his shit was from global anabolics so I asked him if his lifts was going up so I can get an idea on how good the brands he has...than he tells me...well I dont have time to workout and eat and I dont really pay attention on how much I lift but I know am getting tighter.....BIG WTFFFFF....the dude bought EVERYTHING...he bought all the compounds and is taking all of it and all kinds of supplements that u never heard of its fuking insane...and the dude never heard of HCG clomid and nothing...he has never taking a PCT in his life

I recommend you go back to third grade and learn about periods, paragraphs, and that kind of shit. Dose you agree?
