does sex drive return after discontinuing oral contaception

hey , i am shortly having a vascectomy so my wife can stop using the pill mainly so she can succeed in her fitness goals and also her libido has severely dropped , is it likely to return once the drugs are out of her system , i have read that libido loss is due to increased shgb whilst on the pill , does anyone know if a product like unleashed would work/is safe for women ,any info would be great thanks -ant

need more information.. her age, how long she's taken it.. there are way too many factors to say women are very complicated... but good for you, i did the same to save my wife's body so congrats..

age 30 taken it for last 2 years after our last child ,2 years prior to that after our second and several years after our first -when she has stopped in the past to get pregnant her libido has risen so hopefully should be ok

Hi - I wanted to post my experience with this. I had tubal ligation this past June and went off the pill. It did not help my sex drive or the weight loss. Trying not to be too graphic - I was very short and light but now longer and heavier without the pill. Actually thinking of going back on just for that reason. If you're done having children then it's one less thing to worry about but didn't help with my fitness goals.

In my experience being off oral contrceptive did help with my fitness goals. I haven't take hormonal birth control in almost 5 years that being said if you don't have a diet on track not much is going to make a diffrence in fitness and fat lose goals.

the pill causes her to retain water , but even after only 2 weeks off the pill and using uvi ursa and dandelion root she has already shed lots of water her diet and training are on track and hopefully her progress will continue -thanks for everyones help -Ant

I guess I was thinking that I was going to drop 5 lbs. overnight just factoring in going off pill. I was happy where I was at when I went off the pill - was just looking for a little extra. Now that it's that time of the year again - I'm back to the nutritionist to get my RMR tested on Friday so that I can get the diet in full swing again. I have the problem of not eating enough which is hard to get used to. I'll probably be looking for some info / sharing my experiences in the other threads shortly.......
