My mom works for Central Maine Power. They hire people out of tech schools and these guys make like $38000 to $45000 right away. Some guys are making close to $30/hour after just a few years with little to no degree.

A lot of guys set themselves up to be gold-dug. There is something to be said for staying just a tad low on the radar.

I think its fair to say that the majority of guys who do get raked over the coals probably should have known better in the first place.

i have enough money in the bank to be okay for awhile. although its lame cuz i still live at home with the parents.

im definately not happy at where im at in life. i spent 4 yrs in school for a psych degree and i cant do anything with it. and honestly IT (what ive been doing most recently) isnt my first pick for a job that i'd want to do long term. i only do it because im decent at it. but id hate going back to school for a degree in something else other than psych.

most of all though im disappointed about how lazy i am, and how my social circle is limited and how i havent been to the gym in ages, but i feel like i cant make any permanent changes. when i try to change stuff it just doesnt stick.

it does not "stick" for a reason. you may not be happy with your place in life right now, or not know where you belong, but from the sounds of your post, your in a great position: You live at home, you have money in the bank, a degree, minimal resposibilities and time. So whats the rush? Why do you NEED to find a career now, a meaning now? Your living your life right... don't bog yourself down with decisions that dont really matter NOW!!! Go travel, go explore what's out there, go meet people.
