For example, if someone wants to be really good at the ATG Squat, do you think it would benefit them to do lots of body weight ATG squats? Rather than doing only warm up/work sets with weights?
I personally believe that doing the exercises in high repetitions without weights will contribute to your flexibility/mobility, so while it may not do much to improve your max ATG squat, it will keep your body mobile enough to continue doing them with good form, and it may even improve your muscle memory of the exercise since you're doing more repetition of said exercise rather than being limited to the 30 or so reps you do each squat day.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?
