Do you only count meat or whey for dail protein amounts?

You should count everything if you want an accurate total. I get plenty of protein but I track exact amount for purposes of my food log.

I count my meat and shakes and make sure its over 200g per day. I dont count anything else like oatmeal, breads and pastas. I probably eat close to 300g of protein per dayand I weigh 193lbs.

OK, well in that case i am pretty similiar to you justjacked as i have not been counting my grains and veg.

I count everything too purely so I can then mod my diet if I need to, Then I can see what the results are from any change.

there are "complete" protein sourses i.e. meat, whey, dairy, eggs, and there are "incomplete" protein sources, i.e. everything else with protein. These proteins do nothing for muscle building.
