Do you always make eye contact?

You know sitting at the red light, walking past someone in the parking lot at the grocery store, gas station... etc? I tend to be an eye contact person, not for intimidation puposes but I was taught to keep my head high and look a person in the eye to show confidence and awareness. I find that beit where I am... usually sitting in the car at a red light and just look over and see someone looking at me, I make it a pt to make direct eyecontact with them and at least 90% of the time they immediately look away.

I don't think I look mean or anything so I'm not sure if its just that some people are uncomfortable looking people in the eye or not.

nope. I almost never do. It's not comfortable for me.

I have no problum looking into some ones eyes.if iam staring at some one and they catch me I just stare even more.or say something like ya I was looking at you want a prize.lol

In passing I'll glance at a person and give a nod. Full on eye contact is reserved as a sign of respect in my opinion. If you are talking to me and I don't maintain eye contact then I don't want to be talking to you.

in normal conversation, i make regular eye contact, but always look away at regular intervals. for me, sustained eye contact is an intense and intimate thing. i would only want that with someone that i'm attracted to and out on a date with, for example. then, my eyes are pretty much locked on hers. it becomes easy, because i can't get enough of it.

in this day and age you dont know if you make eye contact with them, if they think your inviting them to something, like a rape or carjack, i dont know. The human race has changed alot lately. i dont trust any of them
I watch oprah, i try to be aware of my surroundings when im out and about, especially by myself. i want to carry mace, but im afraid ill spray someone that is just innocent lol
