Do women like a thick wide back ?

I have been focusing on back growth for the last 3 months .

Do you girls really pay that much attention to backs ? yea or neh ?
 
pretty sure a lot of women like it. don't know if the majority in the general population do, but around EF, i'd think so.
 
They especially like it real hairy.
 
Hairy :worried: ? HELL NO ... WAX on WAX off. other than that a nice back, good clean defined muscles nice V yeh we like it any girl says otherswise probably BLIND! Just like you boys we like some nice eye candy too... doesn't have to be perfect (tho thats nice ) but when a man obviously puts forth the effort to look good (and be healthy) it is def. appreciated by us ladies. just my .02

My Old Grump may be old'r than dirt, but damn all those years as an ocean life guard sure the shit paid off!
 
I read somewhere that the primary thing most women "respond" to biologically is your shoulder to waist ratio which is a proxy for testosterone levels. Also, lots of men report being more successful with women while cycling testosterone.

So you'd think higher hormone levels are more appealing to women in general. But then only a minority (I'd guess 1 in 3 or even 1 on 4) women see a bigger guy and think that's more appealing than a medium-sized one.

It doesn't really add-up IMO. But at the end of the day, I think a medium-sized guy with a good shoulder to waist ratio and great definition seems to have more curb appeal to women than a big swole one does.

i don't think so. it is usually guys who comment on my back/traps, while girls seem to be more impressed by shoulders/arms/stomach

What ? It is the mirror in my bathroom. I tried taking a pic by myself and it was hard to reach over and snap the pic.

I'll see if I can get the wife to take a pic for me...
 
Hey smurf , No mirror for this pic.

The other night when I came home and took that other pic in the mirror , My back was pumped I had just worked out.


My back looks much bigger after a work out ,had the wife snap a quick pic ,the flash washed out any detail and ofcoarse my back is not pumped in this pic .

Agreed. It's all about proportion, imo, and in western culture there does seem to be a preference for the Mesopotamian/Egyptian/Greek idea of perfection: the Golden ratio/section/PHI. http://milan.milanovic.org/math/english/golden/golden2.html

I have noticed over the years once you reach a point where muscle becomes visable and people can actually see a little trap or vein in a calve they are ether into it or repulsed by it.
 
I guess I'm sort of in the minority...I like a well defined back and broad shoulders, but I'm not a fan of when the lats get so big the guy can't put his arms down at his side.

only dudes comment on my back

girls comment on my arms, and the ones who get closer, my legs

honestly the only comments i wish i got was about hamstrings and rear delts, which are the 2 biggest groups i've always ignored over my life and now i'm beating the shit out of them to make up for lost time

but none of it matters because people in general don't understand how a good physique should blend together

they can be like oh man your back is huge, sure, but does everything flow together? do my delts pale in comparison? does my chest fill out the front? how about my tris? are my legs big enough for my waist size?

Doing alot of deads, Bent over vbar low grip rows,weighted chins , I have not touched steroids in along time ... exactly a year ago.
I only run one small cycle a year. That's while i am pretty soft in the pics . When I run a cycle I harden up nice.

me too. even in a huge long sleeve button down shirt and tie i have people make comments. doesnt help that im short which just makes me look bigger. i wore a short sleeve collared shirt and pants on the last dress down day and that will be the last time i do that.

Hmm, I try not to discriminate, of course we ladies all have our fav bod parts as do you boys. I think women that can truly appreciate a well developed back also kinda probably know it ain't the easiest thing to build, takes time & discipline. Abs and arms can be dialed in fairly quickly, but the bigger muscle groups that a dif story. However you prefer it a nice bod is a nice bod. I admire peeps that work hard... whatever their goals are.

I've never understood this concept. Who just trains one body part to expand over the rest of the body? Am I missing the true point here?

I rather enjoy both men and women who train the entire BODY towards a sexy balance.

I can agree with this 100%, having been both I see a whole lot more attention now then when I had 40 more lbs of muscle on me.

a case of choice...i usually perfer mass over vascularity and ultra low bf....more "real world" attractive IMO.
