Do SHBG-lowering supps raise or lower estrogen in men?

How did you treat it? Anti e and UNLEASHED?
I didn't Nelson, i just stopped taking it and the symptoms subsided (luckily)

But i am being plagued by gynecomastia in another cycle now (beastdrol - which is very uncommon for gyno) (lumps and tender nipples), so i now know i must be gynecomastia prone.

I have Letro and Prami to crush it (hopefully), and no doubt the Unleashed and Post Cycle will help during PCT (which is due to start next week)

Twice gynecomastia has caught me out, there won't be a third.

The conflicting information is coming from marketers who are copying UNLEASHED but don't really know what they're doing or talking about.

SHBG binds T and allows estro to form. The lower it gets, the less estro can "dock" at the e receptor sites.

UNLEASHED does not raise estro. Some supps can. Tribulus increases LH, which in turn can increase e. For some reason Fadogia does so with less estro elevation though we're not sure why. Of course, you MUST have LH elevation to produce testosterone. So it's a matter of keeping the two in balance.

SHBG binds up to 98 percent of the steroid hormones in the blood including 5a-dihydrotestosterone (DHT), testosterone and androstenediol with high affinity, and estradiol and estrone with slightly lower affinity, So there wont be an increase in estrogen as nelson points out... In fact lowering SHBG also decreases the chances of obesity as it improves insulin response, obesity is also linked to higher levels of estrogen in men... so it works in a few pathways, there are others too..

Personaly i have never seen any human studies that tribulus does anything... at least nothing to do with increasing LH, Fadogia increases lh much the same way DAA does basicaly, but its lingans also prevent as much estrogen activity, much like some phytoestrogens...indole 3,carbinol.

As Nelson again points out, The balance is important, unleashed shouldnt be used without cesation, as a rebound effect can occur... rather used as advised it offers huge health benefits...

The point i made above about insulin is another reason why need2slin is such a good supplement, through its ability to stimulate glucagon releases, and insulin response, it can lower affinity to estrogen recptors, so its perfect to add in with any test booster, shbg unbinding, or lh stimulating.

Agreed on all points, though there is info on Trib, it's scant and conflicting. I'm convinced it does something, but with me, that something isn't preferable. I get estro-like sides from it. Some guys get big bumps in libido. That's the way it is with hormone balance. I think Trib has its place but more so with younger guys. Also, phyto estrogens can have a clomid-like effect -- which is good and/or bad in that they occupy estrogen receptors preventing the development of estrogen...BUT...they can also raise estrogen. So you see, again, it's about proper balance -- tough to maintain, but essential to attempt in order to get the best results.

Agreed my friend, superb post..

Good info, thanks guys. How exactly do phytoestrogens affect our endocrine system? For example, could drinking a lot of green tea or taking a green tea extract cause symptoms of high estrogen, like gyno, due to its phytoestrogen content?

It's doubtful you can get estro effects from food sources, except tofu. That's pretty high in estrogens.

This is such a cool and informative thread. Thank you guys (all of you, especially Nelson and the OP) for starting and participating in it. I'll shut up now:-)

Though it's unlikely, it is possible, because it happened to me!

I felt like i had ants under my nipples when i was taking phytoserms. Thought it was my imagination, as i wasn't aware that this was possible, until nelson educated me (previously)

Just curious. Are you 100% sure this wasn't a late onset of gyno symptoms from a previous cycle? You are right, while unlikely, anything is possible. I've ran phytoserms 347 for PCT after 6 weeks of Hella @ 100mg a day and loved the results.

I've also read about green tea lowering estrogen. It just makes you wonder on what level it does this.

Yeah I've heard that green tea can lower estrogens and I've also heard it can raise them, so I'm not sure what to think. But I trust Nelson's assertion that it probably doesn't contribute much one way or another in the scheme of things. Nelson, is tofu the only thing to look out for, or are there others (like all soy products/soymilk)?
