Oh, I forgot to state my position on dballer. I think he is an asset to Elite Fitness. He contributes to the “other” boards (unlike some mods here) and he gives an alternate perspective on a lot of issues here on the Chat board.

I think he should stay!

dballer is the biggest gay-basher on this site. i'm gay...but i think that people like dballer and smalls and cornholio and may1010 and all of the other varied personalities and opinions are what makes/made this place interesting to visit each day. i say keep him here.

i don't like the rash of bannings lately from a purely selfish standpoint....though i totally understand where (good) mods like corn and wodin are coming from and don't fault them.

you honestly think that I alone have sufficient power to get someone banned. Hardly. It takes a lot more than me. Don't believe me, just ask any mod.

But did I vote for Dballer's banishment? Yes. For 2 reasons: a) if Smalls should go for the reason she did, in all fairness, so should dballer, and b) because of Dballer's recent SERIOUS statement that one of our board members was a pedophile, although he was unable to offer any substantive proof. Any serious suggestions that someone is a pedophile, even on the Internet, can lead to serious legal consequences. (as we have seen before).

I know I'm just a newbie and all, but it sounds like this quote is one homo abusing his so-called authority to protect another homo. I recently did a lot of research here and found that dballer had an argument with some dude named Puc and called him a child molester but I saw no threat by RyanH to ban him then. I guess that's because Puc's sexual orientation is not that of Ryan's. Hmmm.....

Shouldn't there be some kind of notification procedure?

When the mods are thinking about banning someone there should be a sticky thread like this one for a few days where people can accuse or defend the member in question.

IMHO the mods have too much power--the classic vocal minority if you will.

It should be up to the MEMBERS who should stay and who should go.

There are a lot of people on here that could be banned and I woud hardly notice they were gone. Dballer is NOT one of those people. He's a cool dude to have around here and will be missed if he is banned.

If he is banned from here, I'll be willing to put up with some of the tools at Triedia so I can bullshit with him on occasion. Done it before...

If Dballer is banned, it has nothing to do with the controversial content of his posts. It has to do with posting screen shots of the mod board on Triedia. It makes no sense to ban Smalls for reading the Mod board and not publishing anything from it and to let Dballer stay when he actually published material from the board. Smalls in fact admitted her mistake and her source of a password came forward. Dballer has not revealed his source of mod board material (though I'm not sure he even knows the source).

This is as much an argument for NOT banning either of them as for the contrary. Both broke the rules but did not seriously compromise anyone with their actions.

Blaming this on RyanH is ignorant. It takes more than one vote to ban someone. But it's nice to have a scapegoat, isn't it?
