Disabled VET needs help with HRT, the VA has me all screwed up!

Hello everyone. I'm a disabled VET who was diagnosed with hypogonadism after a deployment to Africa. I was a counterintelligence agent in the army and due to my job, I had to eat the local food every day in the poorest country in the world. When I came back I was riddled with parasites and thanks to them pumping me full of prednisone and tons of other stuff for a year I am now fully disabled, but hey at least I'm not blind! They diagnosed me with hypogonadism/primary testicular failure in 2000. I'm having some major problems with the way the VA endo is treating me. She now has me on 200mg of depo-testosterone every 10 days and my estrogen is way too high, over 140. My total cholesterol is 219 and my trygliserides are 248! My liver enzymes are up too and I have a hard mass under my left nipple. I have to take lithium every day to help balance my mood since I've been on the higher dose. This really sucks because I really watch my diet and I exercise. I lift 4 times per week and I surf whenever there is waves. I eat according to the "Maker's Diet" ie. lean chicken, beef, turkey, bisen, cold water fish with scales, no pork or unclean meats, plenty of veggies, nuts, seeds, some fruit, and only whole grains. The only suger I get is fruit juice post work out with some whey protein. I take a multi every day, cod liver oil, saw palmetto, zinc, glucosamine, extra vitamin C, and plenty of water.

The VA endo here refuses to give me an anti estrogen because she is uneducated. Does anyone know of a supplement that will actually work to lower my estrogen or stop aromitization of the test into estrogen? Does anyone know of a doctor that will be willing to help me? I have full medicaid so the government will pay for my treatment and meds. I'd like to try HCG with an anti estrogen if I can get it because it was never tried. The VA said it's too expensive. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance.

Your doc sounds like a cunt. My advice is to research arimidex (anastrozole), femara (letrozole) and nolvadex (tamoxifen citrate).

Dude you need help bro! I feel bad for you. Definitely look into AG-guys liquid products. Somebody get this guy some HCG pronto!

0.5 mg of Adex EoD is what I'd use.

If you get the liquidex from Anciallary Guys (Highly recommended) then just pop 0.25 mg's worth ED.

Damn, what a life story!

Are you sure your tri, chol and liver values are high because of the test? I would say they are screwed up from all the toxic meds from the past. Test usually leaves those values on normal values with normal dosages.

Will the endo allow you to do your own injections? If so you really need to look at weekly injections, not every 10dy. This will help some with the aromatization and, probably, siginifcantly with the mood swings. I'd cut out the Saw P. if I were you. Unless you have a compelling need for it, don't mess with DHT levels.

For OTC estrogen control you can try a DIM with Indolplex product like Enzymatic Therapy's "Pure Rip". This at least can promote "healthy E metabolism". Arimidex at .25 to .5mg EOD will be more effective.

HCG isn't expensive, but perhaps the anti-e is. FWIW, a lot of guys using HCG as a HRT vehicle don't really benefit as those who use T. Also, with E out of control you really don't want to go down the HCG path. I know a Doc or two, we can discuss that via PM if you're interested.

bro! i'm a disabled vet myself and the only time i hit the VA hospital is when i know i need something that will hit me hard in the pocketbook that regular insurance doesn't cover.

If you have primary insurance, i would suggest going to an in network endocrinologist. A doc that gives you testosterone without any Anti-e's should almost be revoked IMO.

Another thing to do is if you are being treated in a regional center, then try and take a drive to the next level up. For example there are 2 regional hospitals here in MN, but they really suck compared to the main VA that is located in Minneapolis. So whatever state you are in, just ask for a referral to another endo at the main facility for your state.

That's nothing to mess with, and the lump you have developing is most likely a good case of gyno. Take charge and make some calls, cause it sounds like they have you on a bad trip leading to nowhere
