I know looking at the below threads this is sounding a bit repedative but im really struggling to get the fat off my gut off.

I am eating really well.

Breakfast : Muslie with low fat yogurt or 1/4 cup of egg whites with wholemeal toast
Morning tea : Protein Shake 100% whey Optimum Nutition
Lunch: Usually salad and tuna or brown rice with chicken breast
Afternoon tea: Protein Shake or tuna with whole meal crackers (vitawheats)

Dinner: Salad with Fish/Chicken or Beef whatever i feel like.

Im drinking plenty of water too. I dont know whats wrong with me i feel like im loosing motivation a bit.... im looking good but just cant ditch the gut. Its getting harder to get up in the morning here and go jogging etc ....... i know im sounding negative but i thought i would be seeing a bit of results soon. Im measuring my gut so i am monitoring it.

Do i need to eat smaller portions of food? Sometimes i do think im overdoing it a bit cause i am quite full after dinner etc and is so hard to fit in with my uni timetable now i have some nightclasses.

I dunno !! Might post up some photos then so you guys can see whats going on.

Whats wrong is your diet. Your not eating enough or the right foods.

there is 0 to no efa in your diet. and your eating 4 times a day i would try to get at least 5-6 meals in.

Breakfast. is very low in protein. Yougurt is not a protein source its more of carb source due to the sugar. 1/4 of cup of egg whites is little to no protein .. maybe 10-15

Tea meal.. is just protein i would add a healthy fat like pb, evo, flax , fish etc..

after noon tea i would ditch the crackers and go with your protein sources but maybe steam veggies like broccoli, green beans, asparagus.

dinner is okay

but thats just a general guideline

So whats a suitable breakfast to get off on the right foot ?

faiza has a good answer actuially. Your trying to cut, I would definately up your proteins in the am it's crutial as your body can go into a catabolic state durring sleep and you need to cram those proteins in there!

depending on what you do for a living carbs in the morning wont exactly hurt you and will help with protein uptake, try to stay away from milk in the morning as it slows digestion I would drink it your second or third meal in the morning (if you drink milk just sayin).

I'm about to start cutting in a couple days and I'm moving from protein shake with 35 grams, waxy maize with 50 grams, 5 or 6 eggs, oat meal with no sugar or anyhting high on the GI, and all mixed with water. Thats just morning then I eat 2 hours later and again and again.

Only differance in cutting is eat the same times just just cleaner and a bit lighter....

Vegies! and tons of them they are huge to get your carbs but have them clean as well as fiber.

Maybe try carb cycling seems to work well but there are a couple different ways to go about it you can go low all week and load all weekend, or go 3 low one high three low one high etc. (This all depends on your workout routine and habbits).

I could go in to your routine but rememeber that aerobic activity is considered any activity that consists of over 3 mins durations and you should keep a moderate to high intensity (I could get into fat burning "zones", ATP, feequence, VO2 out put, heart rate, etc etc etc if you want to PM me).

There are different ways to keep a good work out routine with cardio either separate in the am's the lift at night or run after your lift aside from a 3-5 min warm up prior.

If none of these ideas do not work for you you may want to look into a fat burner because what it will all come down to is kcals in and kcals out and everyone is different in their genes etc, spot reduction does not exist so I hope you not one of those people that thinks you can just say screw it and do sit ups every day and have it make any differance.

I COULD GO ON FOR DAYS, I HOPE THIS HELPED

Yeah bro I hear ya, for some people it's just a problem area and thats just the way it is. Honestly it's mine as well, I'm about 12 percent right now because I just finnished bulking and i'ts literally about 9 percent just in my stomach. Damn anoying if you ask me.

Good luck to you and Happy birthday to be, your my same age.

I'd check out your pictures but I'm at my office and it's blocked to view.

The thing with an office job is it has its pros and cons ya know you can eat when you need to and what you need to, but you sittin gon your ass all day and your posture etc but at the end of the day you has stored energy, maybe to much

It's a win loose situation, all we can do it try to make the best of it and make it work for us!

Get the diet going right like others have mentioned, work out hard to burn off some of the extra fat that bothers you, and look into www.proteabody.com. For the midsection, you may like TargeX products. They target areas like the midsection, especially the TargeX Burn containing Yohimbine HCl, although the TargeX Heat is exceptionally good too.
