i play basketball, every day i practice and am running all the time, what kind of diet would be best for me to keep my energy but still cut up. because i know carbs give you energy but also make it almost impossible to cut. since i am running so much should this not be a problem to have carbs since i will probably burn it off. what kind of diet would you recommend.

Not so, this board is finally come out of its Carbs are complete Evil phase. (not everyone was on the bandwagon and I admit I got a bit swept up in it trying keto a few times, worrying over carb intake).

While keto does work, it isn't neccessary nor is keeping carbs very low. There are many different ways to cut.

Personally the one reason I lower them is so I can fit more protein into my diet, I don't go and lower them to an obscene amount so that I can fit more fat into my diet. (I just make sure I have an ample amount of good fats I don't go nuts [mmmm peanuts and peanutbutter yummm] trying to get a high percent).

your best best is a relatively balanced diet, your new to the board and you didn't mention whether you lift, which would greatly change your protien requirements.

hey bro, i run track at the college level, we eat carbs like a mofo, and we are sprinters. I mean we dont load up like the distance guys but we still eat a lot. And our whole sprint squad is ripped. So carbs dont make cutting impossible.

how much carbs

how many carbs a day would you recommend, and yes i do lift and just started a cycle of 500mg test a wk 300mg deca a wk dbol 35mg ed for 4wks and winny 50mg ed for the last four wks. Also what kind of carbs are the best to eat. I heard i should stay away from bread and eat vegetables.

I would say a good rule-of-thumb for a b-ball player is 50% carbs from daily calories. Works wonders.
Get at least 40% protein too.
