I'm 6' 197 lbs. aprox. 11% bf.... i've been drinkin 75g. of dextrose and 35g. of protien along with creatine and gultamine for my pwo shake. I feel like i've gained some body fat in the last two weeks i've been workin out heavy andtaken the pwo shakes every day i lift. do yall think i'm gona gain bf for drinkin dextrose????? bros i need help!!????
 
Well it really boils down to calorie intake vs. calorie expenditure.

I personally think it is a bit much and would scale it down to 50 grams of dextrose. Some food for though though:

-25 grams of dextrose = 100 calories
-Assuming you workout 5 days a week, thats 10 post workout shakes over the 2 week period.
-So that is an extra 1000 calories.
-There is almost 4000 calories in a single pound of fat.
-Point: The shake alone likely isn't the problem but part of a bigger picture.

That is a very small shake, even for dieting. I would recommend at least a 35/35 combination. I guess it depends on other factors though (i.e. if you eat a solid food meal 45-80 minutes later)

I take 25-30g and thats enough. I belive in the theory, about we use it to shuttle nutrients to our muslces, i just dont like to have that much sugar, ever.

right i started using it cause i read it shuttles nutrients to the muscles... however i read some post that people take 2:1 ratio of carbs to protein. so that's why i started taking 75g dex and 35g pro. i definetly agree it's way to sweet and too much sugar. what kind of results do you get from 25g dex? notice extra bf? thanks for the advice bro

is that going to promote bulking or cutting?
