denverbomb!!!!!!

Denver is 6-1 in AFC Championship games, 4-0 in Denver. Denver has not lost at Invesco Field in the last 12 games, longest streak currently in the NFL. You might want to watch your shit talking, you may be tasting it after Sunday.

Blah blah blah... Shit talk is what makes watching the NFL fun to watch. I am confident that the Steelers will take care of business... apparently you Denver guys are a bit sensitive. Let's be honest... Jake Plummer? LMAO! ... enough said.

You are sittine there talking about games played in the 80's and 90's with John Elway at the helm... what the fuck does that have to do with tomorrow's game? Unlike most of the morons who analyze sports, I look at one on one match ups on the field.

12 games is a long streak... and it is due to end tommorrow.... streaks don't last forever... ;)

Hey that's why they play the game. One thing is for sure... There is no way Denver could have went to Indy and Won. They get PWNED every time they visit Indy. The Steelers really don't give a shit about road games. They set a record this year with 13 straight road victories (going back to last year).

i thought you don't talk about what happened X years ago...?

you beat a Colts team that hadn't played a meaningful game in a month, who STILL could have won the game if Harper would have taken the outside on the fumble return...

i know the INT overturn was a bad call, but it happened, and then you almost choked up the game...

i'm all about shit talking, but try and come with some facts, not just talk...

you want to goof on Plummer, but who is Rothlesberger...? the guy is a game manager just like Plummer... and how long until he gets knocked out of another game...?

just remember you are going to Mile High, and it's not going to be cozy like the RCA Dome... ;)

I stated facts... you dismissed them as cut and pastes and mentioned some games from the 80's.

Here is a fact:
Denver gives up 4.0 yards per carry rushing
Pittsburgh gives up 3.4. Despite the rankings... Pittsburgh has a better rush D.

They will run on Denver... Denver won't do jack shit against Pittsburgh. Leaving it in Jake "the fake" Plummer's hands.

Ben R. is 27-3 as a starter. He just wins. When called upon, he can win games with his arm. That just hasn't had to happen though. When you are beating a team by 11 or 14... and you can pound it down their throat with 22 straight running plays... Why stop?

Oh another fact... Cowher is 107-1-1 when he has an 11 point lead at any point in the game. Better hope Denver jumps up fast.

As for the end of the Colt's game.... I look at nothing after the Polamalu INT. The game was over at that point. Bettis got his one fumble a year out of the way... thats the only way I see it.

you stated some facts that meant nothing in the context of the argument...

Denver won all those games that you posted up about... i'm not sure what you were trying to convey...? that Denver can win despite Plummer not having a great game...?

Big Ben threw an INT every 30 attempts this year...
Plummer threw an INT every 65 attempts this year...

Denver's top 2 rushers had nearly 2000 yards...
Pitt's top 2 rusher had nearly 1600 yards...

Big Ben threw for 2400 yards and 17 TD's...
Plummer threw for 3400 yards and 18 TD's...

you seem to forget that your defense gave up 21 points to Joey fucking Harrington, and were able to play the Cincy game without Palmer at the helm...

You played a flat, ugly looking Colts team, that still could have won the game if not for their "idiot kicker"...

i know you're a fan and all, but to think that you will walk away with a double digit win is ludicrous...

this game is going to be won by a margin of 5 or less...

like i said, Plummer is NOT Manning, which is good and bad... good for us cause he throws off the run like noone else in the NFL...

Like I said, we can spout all the stats in the world to prove or disprove a point... but it's football, not tha Farmer's Almanac. Jake had a great year. Of course, they don't let him do much at all anymore because he is incapable of thought. Shanahan has been able to polish that turd and he should be commended.

As for the Passing Yardage and rushing yards, it just shows me how much more efficient Ben and the Pittsburgh Steelers are. The point is to score... not pile up yards. Once the Steelers have the lead they trade clock killing for yards. You will see how it works tomorrow.

As for Harrington... the Steelers played a vanilla D with no blitzes. I watched the game. They still won 35-21.

Yeah... the fact that the Steelers brought the heat on Manning had nothing to do with it... Also, there were 3 calls that the officials made that were absolutely horrible. 2 Pass Interferences on Randle El that were no-calls and the interception. Vanderjagoff missing the field goal was justice... they had no business winning that game.

I really don't think it is ludicrous... not every game is close... and 17 is respectable.. I am counting at least one pick six from Jake... so The Steelers score is artificially high.

Also, Jake is dumber than just about any QB in the league... running or not. Just watch a press conference... he isn't too bright.

well, since you resorted to insulting a man's intelligence instead of just sticking to the game, i'll leave it at that, and let the game do the rest of the talking...

you're just like 90% of the Steeler fans i know...

one last thing though... not let him do much anymore...? if that is the case, what the fuck does Cohwer let BB do...? NOTHING...?

Yeah he does nothing... 3rd in the league in passer rating. Honestly, Ben reminds me of Brady. When Brady first had his run Belichek did not let him do much, but as he gained confidence the offense gets more wide open. Last week was evidence and the week before... Around 200 yards and 2 -3 TD's a game... not bad for a guy who does nothing.

BTW, I have changed my mind... Steelers are going to lose. Most of the ESPN "experts" are picking them... so that spells doom for Pittsburgh. My new Prediction: Broncos 84 Pittsburgh 0. 3 O-lineman and 2 D- Lineman from Pittsburgh will die from elevations sickness. Bettis will have an asthma attack. Ben is scared to fly that far and won't make the trip... Polamalu's hair will fall out thus rendering him useless. Jake will have 600 yards of passing and 9 TD's. Tatum Bell and Mike Williams will have 400 yards rushing.

Lol... Jake will be Jake on Sunday... Let me kick a little knowledge for ya:

Jake Plummer and the Broncos vs top 10 rushing defenses:

vs New England
15/26 1 TD 1 INT
2 sacks allowed
4/14 3rd downs

vs San Diego
23/37 0 TD 1 INT
3 sacks allowed
6/16 3rd downs

@ San Diego
8/14 0 TD 0 INT
2 sacks
3/14 3rd downs

@ Kansas City
18/29 1 TD 2 INT
2 sacks
3/10

vs Kansas City
13/18 1 TD 0 INT
1 sack
2/8

vs Baltimore
19/33 1 TD 0 INT
2 sacks
8/16 3rd downs

vs New England
17/24 2 TD 0 INT
1 sack
3/11

Thats in general.

113/181 6 TD 4 INT 13 sacks for Jake
29/89 (32.6% 3rd downs). That 32.6% would put them at 30th in the league - ahead of SF and Chicago.

Now, vs just the 3-4s

vs New England
17/24 2 TD 0 INT
1 sack
3/11
34 rushes, 176 yards

@ San Diego
8/14 0 TD 0 INT
2 sacks
3/14 3rd downs
26 rushes, 98 yards

vs New England
15/26 1 TD 1 INT
2 sacks
4/14 3rd downs
32 rushes 96 yards

vs San Diego
23/37 0 TD 1 INT
3 sacks
6/16 3rd downs
40 carries 157 yards

@ Dallas
15/24 1 TD 1 INT
2 sacks
3/10 3rd downs
20 carries 144 yards (but this includes a 55 yarder in overtime)

Totals:

19/65 29.2% 3rd downs (would be 31st in the league; 7% below their overall average of 36%)

78/125 (62.4%) 4 TD 3 INT 10 sacks

152 carries, 671 yards (4.4 ypc).

However, the 3-4 defenses that ALSO have a top 10 rush D (San Diego, New England), the Broncos have:

132 carries, 527 yards (4.0 ypc)

San Diego, who's run defense is most similar to The Steelers (#1 in the league), have held the Broncos to 67 rushes for 255 yards (3.8 yards per carry).

------------------

Those are the most important stats in this game. Pittsburgh will score on Denvers D. That will not be an issue... but the game will come down to Denver vs. Pittsburgh's D. It doesn't look good.

My prediction:

Steelers 31
Broncos 17

Glad you put all that effort into number crunching thinking that it matters.

You did leave out an important one though.

Denver is 14-3 and playing at home for the AFC.

Something is working, wouldn't you say?
