Deca cycle

Yeah I certainly fried them Z I can't hardly walk today. But hey pain is good!
Here what I've done today matey


Standing mil press. Do not go lower then your chin. Press well behind your head. 4x8 99lbs

Upright row 4x8 43k 94 Lbs. Good for you suga, Do not go higher then where you triceps are parallel to the floor. Also if it dosnt hurt your shoulders go with alternating wide and narrow grip. Wide= where your forarms and upper arms form a right angle. Narrow = where there is one handspace between your hands. This will provide you with very nice separation between you delts and traps.


Arnold press. 3x12[/14k Good on 8 lbs. This is for ancillary-rotater cuff.




Lat raise.
missed out


Front raises. 3x8 10k

Bent lat raise. 3x8 10k
Good on these well......except what you missed....:p


Shrugs. Various sets and weights Do these with BBL. Google Power Shrugs. 3x20 18k[/COLOR

Hey ZEd I managed to do 3x10 power shrugs today @ 100lbs still don't think I've mastered them as I kept going off balance I will keep practicing lol. Everything else weights ect still the same will next wk ve tge time to add weight ?
 
Hey suga. To do a power shrug...
Have the weight on a convenient rack that is somewhere between knees and waist.
Lift weight off the rack.
Bend forward slightly from your hips with your knees flexed. Not too far but so you feel the weight load the back part of your traps. So you should be able to feel the pull on your traps going from just hanging str8 down to kind of high up on the backs of your shoulders.

Now when you explode up you do it like this,
All at the same time extend your knees, hips and shrug your shoulders up as hard as you possibly can and in your mind try to hold your shoulders up there.
Of course you should not be able to hold your shoulders up, if you can then add weight as you learn the lift.

Yep suga add weight to every lift.

Yeah Im sure I'm doing them properly just when I go up on to my tiptoes I'm going off balance falling forward sometimes I will keep practicing and checking out youtube see there method lol

Hey suga maybe you are not using enough weight to really get the feel of it. Try expirmenting with adding weight. I would try 135 LBs and go up from there.

Yeah that is true. I have in the past think that's why I'm so into the training now after the abuse I put my body through It's now like I'm obsessed about looking after it lol. And I feel good too can't beat it Zed lol!!

Anytime Zed glad you liked it! That's my plan to alternate week by week doing it that way saves a little time so means I can add something else in!!
 
Whatever you add in make a compound lift! Would really like to see Rack Pulls or Good Mornings. That would do you well suga.

Wow I really surprised myself at the gym today done 5x5 bench press and managed to hit my last two sets @ 65k 143lbs..was really pleases with myself. Starting to see some amazing definition already and only three weeks into this program ..



Zed have you heard anything from Yorky i ain't heard from her for bout three weeks and pm'd her but got no reply. Hope she's ok.

Thank you Jen.!! If I remember rightly the 5x5 are just for compound lifts . When Zed done my routine for me it was varied some 5x5 some different . I did post on my full wks training on one your posts Hun if you don't find it give me a shout I will look for you.
I was so used to my training after years of doing the same stuff my body stopped reacting to it. Now I'm training this way I get all the aches and pains again day after training lol so it's all good!!

Hey jenn, for Donna, the program was worked out for the specifics that she provided for me.

In you case believe me that SL 5x5 would be more then plenty.
I know that just the A and B, and the small number of lifts looks like not much. But sista you give that program an honest go for 12 weeks and you will fall in love with it your first time through.

If Donna asks for my advice for her next phase she will be doing the SL 5x5 with no changes at all.
She will Eat properly, she will do the SL 5x5, she will rest and she will have tremendous results!
And if Donna chooses to go her own way then thats fine too.:D

You really are doing outstanding suga. You just make sure and get plenty of rest and keep your diet up. If you have time take a couple of med paced walks during the week. NOT hard or fast, just med pace.

Thank you I feel great too. Hard works paying off. I walk around three miles per day with my dog & try to get my 8 hours sleep sometimes more if I can. As for the diet I'm still doing 50 30 20 give or take a few cheat meals lol but hey all this hard work builds a good appetite. !

Hey guys ... I decided against the test enth and chose to add test prop to my var/winny cycle as from today 40ml split into 2x 20 ml mon/fri I chose to go test prop as it's faster acting also less water ret and i thought already been 5 weeks into winny/var cycle this would be perfect to add.....so i will week by week keep adding my workouts maybe even pics same as before and hopefully will be some good gains .........Anyone have any thoughts on this ?

This will also keep you blood levels more stable, which in turn means that you will not have the mood swings. Let me know your thoughts plz.

Your power shrugs are an explosve movement using everything you have in you to do it... Just fyi.

Hey Zeddie...just noticed that you responded to me on here. I said I was going to do the SL 5x5 program but after the first day I felt like I wasn't doing enough. Give me the lowdown on 5x5. If I do it just as it's written for 12 weeks, straight up hardcore, will I gain muscle mass? I want to lean out and gain mass. Should I give 5x5 a chance? Will doing it also give me gains in bis and tris?

Ha. Power chew. That's funny. I have been putting a few frozen strawberries in with my protein powder/shake to help cover up that nasty taste of the BCAAs I put in there as well. My dog goes crazy when I drink it. I poured her some out yesterday and she gobbled it up. She she got some protein powder and some BCAAs! Lol.
Good luck with your reading. I'm trying to read up on a keto diet. I love readin this stuff! Like you tho I'm anxious to get started!!

When I see I only have to do 3 days per week of lifting I get scared!! ;). I'm so used to doing something every day. I'm like you though...I trust Zed and I'm looking for different and better results so I'm going to try.

sweettea is on a totally diff program right now suga. But all in good time.
Right now sweettea is on a higher volume semi high intensity program. Where you are gonna be on a low volume very high intensity program.
The 5x5 is for mass and strength and it is brutally effective! On this program pretty much anybody will gain both mass and strength. An intermediate lifter such as yourself will be amazing after this.
Sweettea is on a whole diff program that is designed to speed up her metabolism which in turn will help her get rid of some excess fat.
That program is also intended to strengthen her connective tissues and get her ready for the 5x5 in time.
You are already at that point and ready to go.

Thanks Jen we all bounce ideas off each other and I love it on here I dropped a post on another site five days ago and not one person even said hi welcome never mind offered to help that wouldn't happen on here everyone's so friendly and helpfull! Also Well said said my southern friend!!

That's great Zed I'm ready to go lol can't wait at first I was dreading change but then I remembered when you gave me my recent programme and how much my body responded to the change in routine also reading up on this has me hooked!! I'm loving the little team we have here and going into this with me n Jen were missing Yorky though she woulda loved the posts theses days

I've pm'd Yorky a few times now and not heard back it's really unusual for her she was on here as much as us!
Haha thanks though why I look so happy in that pic I don't know I was on my way to a 12 hour shift! Haha
