Confused or maybe I'm doing them wrong. Everyone seems to be talking about how deadlifts kill your back( in a good way:D). I feel them in my quads....unless your talking about straight leg deads. Am I mistaken or something?

Check your form out bro... they definitely hit your quads but you should feel them throughout your entire back. Especially in your traps. I have to really concentrate on contracting my lats to feel them in my lats but when I do they TORCH my lats competely. Theyll hit your quads, hams, glutes, low back, upper back, traps, forearms, just about everything.
:D:D

Try to keep your back straight and your butt down throught the ROM.

Individual biomechanics will influence where some people feel the emphasis, (i.e. traps, lower back, or legs)but you can maximize the workload on your back if you keep in mind the proper technique.

lift with the legs first and keep your upper body still until your legs are straight the raise up with the back

reverse that for when you lower

legs first
back second
