Dead lifts... sticking point at the bottom...?

You ever do snatch grip deadlifts? That's where you grab the bar way out by the collars. Your ass starts a lot lower than regular dl's, so you can train the bottom pull hard.

I can't explain how the bands work fully. I believe the Louie Simmons once said...:
(paraphrasing of course)

'We often can't figure out why things work. We look at what should work and try it and often times it just doesn't work. We find the things that work for us then try to understand WHY afterwards.' (very rough paraphrase that I hope makes sense)

About twice a year I get it in my head that I will stop using bands and work on increasing the bar weight without the bands and I somehow reason why it should help me increase my squat, deadlift, and events. Everytime I drop the bands my lifts and event strength goes down.

Last week I squatted a pretty easy 800. Took me way less than 1 second to go from 'nearly' parallel (less than 1/2" away) to a complete lockout. I have never used more than 551 for a squat of any type and I have been using 225 plus choked blue/heavy bands for box squats. My deadlift and squat (as well as events) have thanked me.
