I'm back into training after an 8 year layoff. Been going at it since last November. I cleaned up my diet and I've made some decent progress since then. I'm still dieting, trying to shed more body fat.

I haven't done a cycle in 8 years, and I've been doing a lot of reading lately to get myself familiarized with everything again.

Past cycles:

#1 D-Bol 40mg ED 4 weeks/Sustanon 250 2x wk. for 10 weeks

#2 D-Bol 50mg ED 4 weeks/Sustanon 250 2x wk. for 10 weeks

#3 Sustanon 250 2x week/Tren 75mg EOD for 10 weeks

#4 pre-contest
Sustanon- 750mg/wk (weeks 1-8)
Dbol- 50mg/ED (weeks 1-4)
A50- 100mg/ED (weeks 1-4)

weeks 6-12...
Winny- 150mg/wk
Var- 30mg. ED
Suspension- 300mg/wk
Primobolan- 300mg/wk
T3-
Clen-

Yeah, that was a crazy cycle...

...anyway, this has all been so long ago, and I know there were a couple more cycles in there that revolved around test/tren/Dbol.

So I'm kind of starting from square 1 again. Doing the math from when I started training again 7 months ago (195lbs. at 24% bf) I've put on about 12 lean lbs. At my age, do you think it's possible to put on some more mass (25+lbs.) before I cycle again?

My diet:

#1 10 egg whites
1/4 cup grits
alternate days with 1tbsp. flax oil, and fish oil

#2 6 oz. chx. br.
6 oz. sweet potato
1 cup broccoli or lettuce
3 fish oil caps

#3 6 oz. chx. br. or 1 1/2 cans tuna
1 cup broccoli or lettuce

#4 6 oz. chx. br.
1 cup broccoli, lettuce, or asparagus

#5 6 oz. chx. br.

I alternate high and low carb days, high being first 2 meals with carbs, low being only meal #1 with carbs.

1.25-1.5 gal. water per day

cardio: 45 min. 4 days per week fasting (+ 2 days per week post workout for 20 or 30 minutes)

All cardio is HR between 120-130. Was going too intense with the cardio prior to 2 weeks ago. Probably burned up some good muscle going so intense with HR 150-170. Lesson learned.

Workouts are intense 35-45 minutes. Mike Francois trains me once a week, 4 years training with him a while back, and just started back with him 6 months ago. He does my diet.

How heavy where you at your biggest before?
Making really good gains so far would hold off till they stop and then consider a cycle.

read the sticky's above.

the first thing to know is we have come a long way with regards to on cycle support supps and ancillaries.

do some digging around in threads, seems to be a very good consensus as guys have experimented with things as to a good strategy

can you add 25 more lean lbs without steroids.. maybe, but probably not, especially at your age, lowered test production and lowered gh issues..

25 lbs is more of a bulk, not a lean gain, or a recomp.. so i say no you couldn't do that naturally..

could you do it with help?? probably, but i'd suggest you need more food to get there.

love that he has you on fish caps..

training700: I was 215 when I started dieting for contest, and day of the show weighed in at 162 (14 week prep). After that I got up to 220. I tend hold a lot of water

stevesmi: yeah, I see that a lot has changed and there are a lot better choices for running ancillaries during cycle, and for PCT. I'm learning a TON!

SpyWizard: Right...I'm looking for more lean gains when I get down to the bf% I'm comfortable with. Fish Oil good or bad? His oil of choice is olive oil because it can elevate GH levels. I also use it in place of fish oil.

I've been training heavy, and my joints are holding up pretty good. Trying to train as heavy as possible and avoid injuries. Trained legs with Mike last Friday and I knocked out 900 on leg press for 15 reps. Strength is definitely getting better, and almost as good as it used to be when I was using chemicals. So that got me wondering about how much more lean weight I could gain...if I my strength is really good, use that to my advantage before I decided to take anything.

Thanks for the replies!

Spywizard has it spot on here. It would be hard for anyone our age (I'm also 38) to put on 25 lbs of muscle naturally, especially when you've already built a solid physique. Someone starting from scratch might be able to do it, but its very doubtful you will get that far. It could take a long time just to put on 10 lbs of muscle naturally. Someone half our age with strong test and GH levels would have a better shot

I would jump on a Test e and Dbol cycle now , you have the experience already bro , go for it, why take the stairs when you can take the elavator!!

Are you looking to get back on stage again?

Sent from my DROID BIONIC using EliteFitness

Not really, but I'll tell you what... it was a blast when I did it. I only wanted to do it just that one time. It was the Mike Francois classic, and I took 10th in middleweights. I was happy because that was the the best I've ever looked and felt, and I met so many cool people. Really learned a lot about myself, and my body from that one experience.

Who knows, I might get the itch again. Never say never...

Thanks, that gets me to thinking... when I first got into training at age 15 I weighed about 125 and probably 12-15% bf, so I've put on about 50 solid pounds altogether since I started training.

Thanks kc17, I like the way you think!
