Bro, you have to have a different perspective on this. When I hit a new PR in bench (for instance 5 more pounds than before), and then I look to my right and see a ripped huge motherfucker putting up 100 lbs than I do..... and I feel STRONGER and BIGGER than him, because I progressed this workout, and it wont matter if he is benching 225 or 900, at that moment I am STRONGER, because I just beat myself!

i know exactly what you mean! but that's the thing..everybody else is making PRs, but i've somehow stopped doing that

post your workouts here. I am telling you, thats the solution to your problem!

By the way bro, you know your body better, but when I start having thoughts like that (doubting myself, thinking i am not progressing).... it is almost always nervous system overtraining for me. It is like your body's way of telling you to take a break.

when i think about it thats what has happened in the past with me too. it's very hard to psyche up and max as often as i have to for my style of training (Metal Militia). who knows, maybe it's just supposed to be a contest prep routine

i need to focus on something else i think. i'm actually getting sick of benching (nobody else does  and they dont have problems progressing)

i do squat. i'm doing 5x5 for that. i'll probably do that with deads too. hell, bench too i guess. should be a nice change of pace

cool, do that for a while for a change of pace...then why not hit conventional westside again?

thats what i was just thinking! i was thinking of putting more emphasis back on bench though as there's no full power meets around here but quite a few bench contests.

i just found out that mendy is a westsider
