d1 football workouts

my friend plays college ball and i got a bunch of his old training routines (which isnt allowed or something cause of NCAA rules or some shit), and god damn they do alot of different shit. these dont look like your typical workout at all.
 
I played college ball and the fucking workout they gave us was ridiculous. Needless to say I didn't follow it. If I remember they had us benching and squatting 3 days a week DURING the season.

Thats stupid IMO. The season itself can be very catabolic.
 
yeah, right now he is doing 2 hour workouts 4 days a week, plus bleacher work plus tire work. too much in my opinion
 
Exactly, I play DI ball, the workouts we do are terrible if you are trying to look jacked. Our coaches could care less how we look, for them it's all about function.

I have never followed our workouts in the summer, and I always come back jacked and stronger than any of the guys who did the actual team workout, in my opinion they are usually terrible, unless Boyd Epley(Nebraska) is your strength coach.
