Creatine of whey protein for muscle growth?

Peops wassap! Don't ask me the reasons why, but I can only use either creatine, or whey protein. Which one would be better for muscle growth? Which one is the easiest on the stomach?

That's weird lol. If you are getting enough protein through diet, then you don't need the powder. Although it's nice instantly post workout to shuttle in fast. Creatine is pretty much impossible to get your 5g by eating food. So that could be the better choice. Get a cheap bottle of Creapure creatine monohydrate.

I would say protein powder. Creatine is a really good supplement to take but it's naturally occurring in food. The three foods that are the highest in creatine are beef, salmon and tuna.

One pound of beef will contain around 5g of creatine. One pound of salmon will contain roughly 4.5g of creatine. Each can of tuna will contain about 1.5g of creatine.

Theoretically, if you base your diet heavily around those foods and are able to get about 5-10g of creatine through food alone, you wouldn't need a creatinesupplement.

Most people would really struggle to get 6 whole food meals of protein in per day and a high quality protein shake is a very easy and cost effective way to help reach your daily protein requirement.

For a whey protein - you want to see nothing but that in the ingredients list. Whey protein, natural flavours, a natural calorie free sweetener like stevia and then maybe some salt, soy lechitin and cocoa powder. There are a lot of good products on the market. I personally use isolation from n2bm.com. A good whey isolate should be pretty much fat and carb free. Isolation has 26g protein, 1g carb, 0g fat per 30g scoop.

ironically both can be bad on the stomach and here is why

creatine is sold with a lot of fillers, dyes, and sweeteners
and whey protein is sold with concentrate, hydrogenated oils, and even HFCS! YUCK!!

thats why the QUALITY of the brand is so important

n2bm sells creatine with just creatine (weird concept I know) and their whey protein is isolate and has only a few additional ingredients that are not bad for you. sweetened with stevia

I would go with creatine. It helps with building muscle and strength during workouts and its much cheaper. And whey is unnecessary if you can get all of those macros from food

In my opinion it is easier to get enough total protein through food rather than get enough creatine through food. For that reason I would choose creatine and make sure to eat enough protein through lean meats and eggs.
