Creatine debate+

Creatine allows the muscle to retain water. When you lift, you tear and rip muscle fiber. The water creates an environment that allows for quicker cellular repair of the torn muscle fibers, due to a higher volume of liquid pathway for the cells to move through. This is 100% scientific fact!

No, creatine does not build muscle. You will not "gain" muscle mass using creatine like you would an AAS. Creatine simply creates an environment that fosters muscular repair, and allows you to build greater muscular volume, than had you not used it at all.

This is about as simple an explanation as you're going to get.

@Eric1987, creatine is definitely not a placebo. I've been using creatine for about a year now, and have seen amazing results. You need to make sure you keep yourself hydrated while using it, but you should always stay well hydrated regardless.

Here's a pretty good site for info on creatine, and recommends a few e-books on it and building in general.

Creatine is a cell volumizer. It transports nutrients to your muscles faster if you drink a lot of water with it. If you do not drink a lot of water with creatine it is worthless. Creatine is in steak, Arnorld and them older bb's youst to eat 2 lbs a steak everyday to get 3-5 grams of creatine.

What about damage to the kidneys? He speaks of that now.

go back and read what i posted above about creatine messing up your bloods. your friend is badly misinformed.

when you go in for a blood test they have you fast for a reason, so that food doesn't interfere with your results. well creatine has a long half life, so stopping creatine weeks in advance will not do you any good, it will still screw up your blood results and to an amateur will appear you have high creatinine and BUN levels and thus kidney damage.

its like drinking a gallon of gatorade and then taking a glucose test. your results will reflect all that sugar, however it doesn't mean you are a diabetic.
