Your are misrepresenting your first-hand knowledge (i.e. your experience is just one person's experience). Also, if you haven't already, consider causal relationships other than "meth causes pain." People can hurt themselves with many substances, including alcohol. Why are these people hurting themselves?

Furthermore, why does the government support such a simple-minded view?

Propaganda like this seems to purport simple causal relationships, and uses peoples emotions to win them over by showing gruesome images. This is what takes responsibility and individuality from people.

This is all part of the "war on drugs."

I saw this problem effect a good number of close friends and had a really good look at this. I had friends parents come to my door in tears just wanting to know where their kids are! I havent seen this with any other drug in my expirience. People were looking like skeletons after making this shit a habit, eyes sunken and watery looking, sores, etc.

Your right, people can hurt themselves in a number of ways but Meth is more immediatly destructive from what I have seen. People abuse alcohol for 20-30 years before major health problems show up sometimes, meth ravages people far quicker.

I saw the same images and the same things occured to me just by noticing these things first hand without any sort of propaganda.

meth is a big problem where i live. around 1 in every 3 males arrested, test positive for meth.

Did anyone else watch this HBO Special? Brutal.

Watching that Mother do speed with her son was disturbing.

And the stat at the end was staggering....Of the like 10million Meth addicts in US, 6% of them have been able to recover from the addiction...6%!

It also includued some history of the drug at the beginning. Hitler and the Nazi's were known to use amphetamines as were the Japanese.
