So i got in late last night... After missing my flight, crying at the airport, and then finding out work was cancelled so I could have stayed another day.. grr.... I REALLY didn't want to leave!!! I have a really good job right now that will probably last till the end of the year so I can't move before that... I am 90% sure that I will move asap... As long as things dont change etc... My boyfriend is VERY old school in the respect that he doesn't believe in "living together"... so in his thoughts this will mean we will be getting married... I on the other hand I believe two people should live together before they even think about that to know if they can stand eachother all the time...

This is a pretty big deal for me... I really don't like Vegas that much and I LOVE SAN DIEGO!!! But he has promised me that this move is just for a couple of years then we can move out... If this was any other guy I would have said forget it... I have NEVER lived away from the beach. Vegas is known for flash floods, extreme heat and cold, and CRAZY fucking people. I live in paradise right now.. And finally live in the place I dreamed to live as long as I can remember....

But I can't live without him.....

im so happy for you courtney. i told you it would work out if you guys talked it out. im with you all the way girl. it is hard to keep a long distance relationship together but from what you have told me it sounds like this one will last. love is about sacrifices and comprimises. you are doing the right thing. you know i like it when your happy. take care. i look forward to speaking with you again soon. hang in there. im here for ya to help you get through the tuff times ahead.

You ever think your already at that point emotionally that nothing else can get to you... But then something happens and you find yourself even more affected and confused... I had a conversation tonight that really blindsided me and I don't think I am capable of digesting it right now... All I can say is that I don't think I will ever be able to understand people at all......

worked back and a lot of cardio found out today I have a important meeting on monday and a photo shoot on thursday so diet is going to get cleaner and water in take tripled right now... and weights next week will be more circut type and no legs...

While I totally understand not wanting to leave the beach, I am not sure where you get a lot of the info on Vegas. I have lived here for 4 years and have no clue what you are talking about.

Yes, SOME areas get flooding during heavy rains - but it is no worse than any other valley-type area. I have never seen a flood, nor have I been in one. Yes, sometimes there are roads that get blocked off during heavy rains, but REALLY - that is NOT a "flash flood". There are some lowerlying undeveloped areas that have some trouble - but not in the greater Vegas area. The more RURAL areas outside Vegas have some trouble - but not IN Vegas.

As far as "extreme hot and cold" - yes, summer is brutal. It can be crazy hot. But "extreme cold"???? I don't even OWN a winter coat. I have a THIN fleece jacket that I wear in the winter. I own THREE sweaters - all cotton blends, no wool or anything heavy.

As for "crazy people" - well, you get those everywhere. San Diego included. Vegas doesn't have a monopoly on crazy, nor do we have SERIOUS crime issues or the like.

Vegas isn't perfect, but it is not hell on earth.

Someone that lives there was telling me about the flooding problem last weekend and that no one can drive then (LOTS of accidents)

the extreme cold is at night!!! and I dont like how all the buildings are overly air conditioned... its so hot outside so you dont wear a lot but then you go indoors and you freeze you butt off!!

and you are right about crazy people they are everywhere that is for sure...

I understand completely Courtney! I'm beginnning to wonder if a good majority of people suck, or if it's just me.

so just found out I got the job for sure... that means I have a photo shoot on thursday... so diet is going to be pre-comp style the rest of week, so I wont be longing it...

ON A GREAT NOTE!!! this also means I get to visit my man this week expenses paid by the company woo hoo!!!!!

the nerves have offically set in... I really dont have enough time to do the proper pre-comp diet so going to have to play with it a bit... getting in a ton of water today around 3 plus gallons I think... tomorrow will be the same and then mid day on wednesday I will cut it out entirely... the shoot wont be until the afternoon on thursday and I am flying in early so hopefully I will have time to hit the gym for more cardio before hand... found out the company is NOT hiring a makeup artist which SUCKS!!!! so now I am trying to find someone good in Vegas or will just deal with it myself but it so much nicer to have someone there looking over you to make sure nothing is out of place... grr..... yeah and guess what to top it off MR FUN came to visit... so extra bloated I HOPE TO GOD it goes away before thursday

Kay so with a lot of help from my good friend lasix I ended up looking pretty good on thursday and the company was so happy with me that they actually doubled my rate... YEah that is UNHEAR of in my work and the entire time the head dude was all like "I wish we could pay you more... You have worked with x, x and x companies and we just dont have as big of a buget as them" so I am pretty happy about this company!!!

when I got to the airport in vegas I saw a bunch of people I knew that were going to the O... I wish I had to time to watch some of it.. I can't believe I was so close and and all I got to see was the billboards for it... booooo!!!!

then friday I got on the plane to come home and as soon as I stepped off the plane I went admittly to work... then saturday pulled another 12 hour day...

brendan flew into town on saturday night for business and even though it had only been a day since I saw him I missed him terribly!! I think because I knew this was just a tease because he was leaving the next morning for business...

he told me he had a surprise for me but I have no idea.. when I went to pick him up his boss saw me first and said "oh so you heard the good news?" no... "[insert name] doesnt have to leave till wednesday".. WOO HOO YEAH me!!!! but then he will be gone till saturday and then I am going out to vegas the following week...

so yeah I was bitching and complaining about this long distance stuff... but really we haven't even been apart a full week yet... I thought this move would make us grow apart.. he is a man of few words, and is VERY independant... but as we laid in bed on saturday night he pulled me so close and held me tighter then ever before... he kept kissing me unlike he ever has.. its a weird feeling unlike I have ever felt before but at that moment I could feel that he needs me just as much as I need him.. Its so hard to explain but from that moment something has changed I no long feel like a individual but part of a "couple." As we shopped yesterday and hung out with some friends instead of it being him and I, it was US. if that makes any sense... I am pretty sure this is the man I am going to marry....

Carefull with the Lasix. I would not use that stuff too much. Look at what happened to Flex Wheeler!!!
 
k so here is the update.. training has been good and food has been a little sporadic.. the show is on November 1 so I have a little less than 2 weeks to prepare... and way to much work!!

tomorrow I will start logging my meals again....

spent today over 300 bucks on Beverly products so I am officially all the way in now.... I have been playing with there stuff and meal plan for a few months now and I am very impressed with the results and products thus far so I am going to try there complete recommendation for the next two months at least and see what the outcome is...

update on the boy.. he left for his business trip this morning.. i know BOOO!!! and I miss him already.. when he got off the plane his boss took his cell phone (he did this to everyone) he wants there undivided attention till Saturday (yeah his boss is a control freak). so this will be the longest period of time I will go without speaking to him since we started talking... which right now is probably a good thing so we can have some time to think things through part of me wishes it would have been that full week.. 4 days isn't long enough.. he will be back on Saturday and then be here for a few days and then I turn around and fly back out there for work next week too... I just want to make sure that both of us are really ready if I move... my beer promotion just got extended until the end of December so we have some time but I am sure it will come sooner than we think...

oh and what happend to flex?

I didn't write down exactly how I ate but this is the three day diet...


Breakfast

3 egg omelet and/or 4-6 oz. grilled salmon
(I do not recommend smoked salmon or lox on the three-day diet because of the salt intake)
-had 5oz of salmon got WILD salmon

½ cup cooked oatmeal (not instant)
(Cooked oatmeal is a great source of fiber, low glycemic carbohydrates)
-I didn't eat this because I was going for low carbs

2” wedge of cantaloupe or 1/3 cup fresh berries
(Cantaloupe is very hydrating to the skin and contains important antioxidants – blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries are high in antioxidants)

No Juice, No Coffee or Toast
(If you normally drink large amounts of coffee, drink black or green tea to prevent caffeine withdrawal)

8-12 oz. spring water
(Per meal)
-I drank WAY more water

Lunch

4 – 6 oz. grilled salmon
(Option: you can also use canned salmon and mix a little mayo and fresh squeezed lemon)

2 cups green salad made with romaine lettuce garnish or other dark leafy greens
Dressing: extra virgin olive oil and fresh squeezed lemon to taste

1 kiwi fruit or cantaloupe and berries as above

8 – 12 oz. spring water

Snack

1 apple

2 oz. slice of turkey breast or 6 oz. plain yogurt

Small handful of hazelnuts, walnuts or almonds
(Great source of fatty acids and folic acid)

Dinner

4-6 oz. fresh grilled salmon

Green salad (as described above)

½ cup steamed veggies
(Especially asparagus, broccoli, spinach, etc. NO root vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots, beets, parsnips, etc)

Cantaloupe and berries

8 –12 oz. spring water

Before Bedtime Snack

1 pear or apple

2 oz. sliced chicken or turkey breast or 6 oz. plain yogurt

Small handful of hazelnuts, walnuts or almonds


so didn't eat the yogurt because I only had 4 days to prepare for the shoot and dairy bloats me... I ate boiled chicken instead of the turkey also ate a lot of raw salmon at sushii places...

tried this diet on recommendation from my facialist... last big shoot I did was in june and the day after the shoot I had to look ripped for a contest of shorts... so for the shoot my body look really good I followed a pre-contest before.. Problem was my face look VERY depleted and "rough" if you know what I mean .. I looked REALLY tired.. and for photos I have to have a balance body has to look tight but my face has to glow as well...

so I tried the perricone last week and was VERY impressed with the results I have problems with swelling in my face I always look "round" and this really helped me to have my check bones more chisled and look refreshed at the same time...

starfish I have been reading the perricone promise and it has a lot of good info in there but I dont buy into all of it. I wont spend the money on his products. I used dermalogica and murad products and LOVE them!!!

but the superfoods as he calls them I am adding into my diet...

i am going to be playing around with his diet and the diet I got from beverly for the next few days getting prepared for my show...

yeah I did eat the fruit I didn't count those as carbs I know I should have but they help my skin a LOT so I bent the rules a bit...

thanks for the concern.... I am doing very well... I moved to Las Vegas and have been traveling a LOT for work and for fun!! I am still training 5 days a week with my man, diet is pretty good but I dont obsess about it anymore.. I have been able to find that happy medium.. I come in from time to time to check out the women's forum but have lost complete interest in the general forum.. I send my love and hope everyone is doing well and accomplishing there goals!!!
