If you have a good nutritionist then I would stick with that person if you are seeing results. If not...look into a better one. I would always want one if I was not sure of how to tweak things for better results.
I can tell you this...I was doing cardio 6 days a week and weights 4 days a week.
I would lose bf but not as much as I should have been My diet was also super clean. I would not even add toxins like splenda, ect.
Now..some will disagree with me that splenda is even a toxic substance but it is.
I am studying to be a Naturopath Dr. so I am very much into things that are not going to hurt your body. I wasnt that way in the past but I have changed over time. Never perfect for sure though.LOL
Anyways...because of not being able to acheive my goals I became fustrated and sought advice from a world known nutritionist that is part of a company that trains olympic athletes across the world.
It cost a fortune but it was worth it. My goals were to get as cut as possible..Ie: 6 pack and to gain lbm
I had been eating 100 gr of carbs and had also tried the 2 high carb days with 2 gr of protein per pd of bw and 51 gr of fat. This was not working for me. I was using fitday to track things and even tried tweaking the shit. I was losing a little but pouding my ass in the gym with little results.
What I had suggested for you was was was suggested for me and all of the althletes Mr. Poliquin trains. Here it is:
I was told that I was going to eat no more than 50 gr of fibrous carbs each day. No starchy. I was also to eat 1.5 to 2 gr of protein per pd of bw and keep fat about the same which was 51 gr. She said not to obsess about the numbers though.
I was told to drop cardio to 1 or 2 days at the most and increase weights to 6 days and add in a lot of yoga.
I was like wtf? I will gain weight. I was told not to worry about that because there was no way and promised it works. And...it did. Finally I was able to lift more than cardio which I had always said I would rather lift than do cardio anyday.
With this plan I got very shredded and had great energy which to me I really doubted but had to try. I mean again..this guy trains olympic athletes and is known world wide.
I do take a lot of supplements but I know they help.
I have also noticed greater results when my body is not at such a toxic state.
I did a cleanse before all of this too.
Good luck sweetie.
