cuff pain - stop doing them.

It takes a lot of proper foundation conditioning and proper form to avoid them. You should overhead squat and overhead press for a long period of time to build the necessary strength and flexibility first. I only used a bar for the first 2 months before I even added any weight

try clean pulls or just jumping with dumbells

i had some cuff pain when i did snatches last shoulder workout. im going to back off a bit and do some prehab work first. cleans are a viable alternative though. only thing i have to do for those is stretch my wrists.

im just a bundle of knots! :( :D

Med balls definitely work.

I mean there are so many different exercises to do to improve jumping and quickness. Still the base should be built up with full high bar olympic squats, rock bottom front squats, deadlifts and rack pulls. Then add squat jumps and plyos. You don't really need olympic lifts.
