Constant eating while cutting?

If I'm cutting (or anytime) is it bad to eat sunflower seeds for an hour or so in between scheduled meal times?

It usually takes me 2-3 days to finish off a single serving, so it fits within my diet plan, but I'm wondering if constantly using energy for digestion takes away from recovery and if constantly having something in my stomach takes away from fat loss.

Thanks.

^^ I'm going to say that as long as it fits within your diet, and you are seeing results then the sunflower seeds are having a minimal effect. If you feel that things are slowing down & stopping, take them out for a week or so & see if there are any changes. Not sure if they are the healthiest choice (I dont have a bag with ingredients in front of me i.e mg of salt??) but as long as you water intake is high I can't see the sodium from them being an issue.

Now if you were eating almonds or walnuts by the handful every hour or so, those cals wouuld most likely not fit in your plan. :)

I cannot imagine the impact from the seeds having much to do with fat loss if they fit within your current plan and are still seeing progress.

Thanks Bunny!

FYI:

1 serving
160 cal
12g fat
1.5 sat fat
7g poly unsat fat
3.5 mono unsat fat
110mg sodium (5%)
4g carb
3g dietary fiber
7g protein

Looks like a pretty good profile to me - salt is much lower than I expected, and I drink about 2 gallons of water a day...and I usually have to drink a lot more when chewing the seeds.

You're like me with the water. @ 2 G's a day at LEAST ... Never made me bloated and allowed for adequate sodium intake with no issues (knock on wood). :)

Are the ingredients just the 'seeds & salt'?

Yah - seeds and salt. In the past I had some issues w/ cramping cuz of all the water, but I added taurine and potassium and I've been good since then.
