CKD's

If I were to start one in the next couple days, how long would it take to see results? I am stuck between the ideas of bulking and cutting. I am currently somewhere around 15-17% bf, I would estimate. I can't stand to have fat on my body...but I want to get a tad bigger...like 180 with less fat. Would it make sense to cut for a bit before bulking up in order to minimize overall bf? I'm more concerned with cutting than bulking right now. At 19, 162lbs, where would I have to get my weight to see some ripped muscle, pref around 7%? And what would my carbs/fat/protein balance look like? Thanks.

Hello DaveNY

There are alot of post about CKD diet will bulking the best thing to do is search the diet and you'll get some good info.

Good luck

Yeah, yeah...I know all about the search. Anyway, I'm in the process to figuring out my totals for a week of ckd. But still, how long to see some results?

you can see results in one week... do it right and you'll lose 1-2 lbs of fat per week. It's pretty much not safe to want to lose more than that per week w/o cutting into that precious muscle we've all worked so hard to gain.

You should see results immediately 3 days in (water weight). You should stand to lose up to 2lbs a week. However, if you bulk after you are cut it will just come right back, and you'll have to go through the pain of cutting once more (perhaps a tad shorter, but still ).
If you want to be bigger @ 15%, you'll feel starved and scrawny at 8%. My advice, don't do it. Get big, then get cut. Cut is only impressive when you're big. Id rather be chubby and big than skinny and scrawny. But really, your pic.

At this stage I won't be giving you any bulking advice. IMHO you need to cut first. If you manage that, then get back to us and we'll help you with a bulking diet and training program.

alright, I figured out all my ratios for the week...now some questions:

1) is the fiber neccessary? what for?
2) must I follow the workout plan mr. x suggested, or can I stick with the 6 day workout I have now?

I'm looking to start this soon...maybe next week if I can get to the grocery store this weekend.
