especially "mutated" fat cells (the way the body stores fat when in ketosis is different that via insulin storage).... I dont want to say much more as my source isnt handy... but i will see if i can dig it up within the next few days

Actually ketones are the preferred brain fuel, it's just that the brain gradually adjusts to this shift. It is much more efficient than having insulin spikes which contribute to neurotransmitter fluctuations within blood plasma/brain. Ketones also provide 7calories of energy, whereas 'routine' fat consumption amounts to 9cals.

But I'm more concerned about the above part of your post - what are we talking about? For one, if you have ketones in your blood it seems absurdial to me that there is adipocyte accumulation going at the same time. Nonetheless, I'm curious to see what evidence you have for this, and what exactly are mutated fat cells?

I find that most people who complaint while on CKD have a real low EFA intake

change this and you will feel a big difference

I am at the end of week 3
The first 2-3 days sucked
Then I learned that the more I consumed EFA's, instead of eating cheese and other fats, the better I felt, and like BBF stated, now I feel shitty and bloated on carb-up days.

The first week is hell! After that you feel great! Atleast I did!
I thought I was going to die during that first week!

so youre saying you CAN NOT gain fat while in ketosis?

extra calories (energy) are stored as fat

theoretically... if you could exactly match how much energy you were intaking and expending...

the hardest part I think would be counter acting the catabolism associated with lifting... and the catabolism over night

Belive mutated fat-cells he is referring to is the downregulation of receptors touched on by Macro a few weeks ago that occurs with CKD.

As for adipocyte accumulation. Burning of dietary fat will cause keytones to be present in the blood but if your over calorie level, you'll gain fat just like any other diet.

^^can you find this study please? Is it the one talking about upregulation of mu-opiod - if so, it has nothing to do with fat-cell "mutation" :o

Oh, and production of ketones is not the same thing as ketosis, that's why I asked about fat accumulation :martini:
