at least give Kimbo credit that he does "fight".........and not just corner off the ring and crowd guys like Sapp does. I give Sapp credit for being the physical specimen that he is......although his "trainer" used to run/own Tokyo labs........hmmmm??...

Oh, he's without quesion an exciting person to watch, even when he was just fighting on youtube, I always looked forward to a new fight coming out. Anytime a guy goes in there and lets his hands go, something entertaining is going to happen one way or the other. I'm really looking forward to the Thompson fight. That's a guy with alot of experience who's been in the ring with some top Pride guys, even Fedor's brother.

If Kimbo wants to become a serious MMA fighter and prove doubters like me wrong, then a fight like this against this type of guy is proper way to go about building a career and moving your way up and gaining good experience.

We'll see, should be a fun fight either way

I don't think Kimbo stands a chance. Chuck has the better stand up and the better ground game. Kimbo knows some boxing fundamentals but he's no comparison to Vitor Belfort before he got too cautious and Chuck beat him back then. I bring this up because Kimbo is very similar to Vitor in boxing strategy, but not as competent as of yet. I think it's cool that Kimbo trains, but it takes a lot of experience and a lot of time to really own your ground game and stand up skills. He's still just learning to strike let alone grapple. I have a lot of respect for the guy. Chuck came in with wrestling and kickboxing and got his ass handed to him by the first experienced fighter he came across in jeremy horn. It's something that all the best fighters go through when they're first starting out. I have no doubt that Chuck would win. He's Kimbo's Jeremy Horn. Sorry Chuck.

And Kimbo does?

Kimbo does what exactly ? It's not like the guy has been around forever. He's a rookie carrying hype like Fedor. Agree with CHuck: Kimbo is a Youtube phenomena...

It should be Kimbo vs. Brock Lesnar... that would be wild... & Lesnar would win of course.

Chuck it sounding kinda jealous in that interview...

Here's the Sean Gannon vs. Kimbo fight...(Kimbo loses)

:karate:

that is the worst fighting I have seen from "Pros". Kimbo is going to get his ass WHOOPED in the UFC. He's big and solid, but he takes too many risky moves leaving himself vulnerable. (just what I gathered from this video.

So far, Chuck hasn't needed to show his ground game...he sprawls and avoids takedowns as well as anyone I've seen.

i'll second that

I think a trained Kimbo will be someone to recon with, just my opinion, if he gets beat down in his next few fights, then we'll know it was all show and no go.

Agreed with ma main man.

I'll empathize with chuck on the point of the "hype" surrounding Kimbo. The hype really is unfounded at this point. You can say "I see potential"........but people claiming this man will hold title belts need to take a step back and breath slowly. That's all I'm saying.........let the guy fight some "real" competition before you start annexing him the "next big thing". These guys holding belts have been in MMA for decades. You can't get by any more "just" being a physical specimen......Fedor case in point.
