Chest/tri day on 5x5

second day i did chest/tri on 5x5, heres the results.

warmed up incline db press with 65. used 75 for 5x5, up from 70 last week, PR!

flat bench for 2x8. used 185 last week. did 2x8 with 190 this week, PR!

decline bench press for 5x5 with 185. didnt do this last week, but still the most weight ive used on decline bench. so PR!

tricep extension for 2x8 with 85, PR!

cable flies for 2x10 with 100, PR!


i love this 5x5, those excersizes arent in any order, but all prs tonight, god im stoked, legs tommorow, cant wait.
 
Looks solid man... But no close grip-bench:( I recommend dropping the 5x5 of decline and do it for 2 sets of 8-10 and going 5x5 with close-grip bench.. But man oh man is that a lot of pr's
 
yea i thought about that post workout, doing the close grip. i really hate decline anyways. :D
 
How's your recovery with 14 sets for your chest? I guess something is working if you're setting PRs across the board, so keep it up! :D ...and I like what Lord_Suston said about the declines.
 
recovery is fine, im still young and eat plenty so i get good recovery time. i could do chest again in 3 days and set more prs. but im doing it again in 4, and plan on setting more prs then.

Im with Sus all the way on this. I wouldnt do two 5x5's for the same bodypart, and I would also throw in CG bench for the tri 5x5. Good job on the PR's.
 
Congrats on the Pr's. I like Lord Suston's idea btw.

Declines are a great idea if the lower portion of your chest islagging behind. Otherwise I hjave found them to be redundant. One mans opinion.
 
yea i only did em cuz there was a waiting line for the freakin flat benches. i hate my gym. although i can go to another gym across town with the same membership... ill do that today for legs/shoulders
