ask the derm first.....i never got red since i put on this gel they gave me all the time....u shouldnt be all red looking.....just ask plenty of questions to the derm....any thing just ask me i have had a few

If you go in for regular glyc. acid peels, mild skin discolorations will quickly fade. If you have pits, or visible acne scarring. I'd recommend going the drastic route. Go big or go home. I live near brad pitt and see him round town from tiem to time... I think he used to do dermabrasion and now just uses botox to flatten out his acne lines for films. You can't even see them really even w/o make up on.

i haven't got any pitted skin or anything. just old acne redness that is extremely slow to fade. would glycolic acid peels be a good idea?

YES. Go to a dermo and ask if you would be a good candidate, as with most chemical peels, some people look red for awhile after a glyc acid peel, so get a recommendation from the dermo. Dermo's are always cheaper than day spas cuz u can get insurance to cover them

Generally 2-3 days of slight redness for me after a glyc acid peel. Some people, however, are like lobsters for a good week. Make sure you get it done at a reputable institute/salon.
