I refuse to blame pres. Bush for everything wrong with the economy, but I believe the priorities are fucked. He is telling us all to go out and spend $$$ to help the struggling economy - f-you George, that shitty 300 dollars advance didn't do shit for me, where do the rest of the cut go??? To rich fucks like BilL Gates, Steve Forbes and Paul Oneil (the shit head treasury seceratary) that didn't need the money. If they are serious about a tax cut that will help the economy and the working class asshole like ourselves, they should consider a cut in the payrole tax which is completely regressive. That would be a much bigger help than a capitol gains tax cut or more welfare for multi-billion dollar corporations that spend more money on lobbying congress than they do on their employees. Everytime people complained that providing healthcare for all Americans was too expensive and a form of socialism I agreed, but if they have the $$$ to bail out the insurance industry, the airline industry and the savings and loan fiasco, then thats where they can find the $$$ for healthcare, education or the millitary.

Exactly.....everybody needs to wake up....cut the payroll taxes...and the government keeps telling people to go and spend, spend, and people are getting layed off? I'm self-employed, small biz owner, and it's a flawed, unattainable goal. I don't have to worry, but the people getting layed off, they're not interested in financing Pakistan, or other countries.
These people are trying to survive. They're not going to spend shit! Bush stupidley thought that the huge tax cut, and subsequent rebate checks were going to bring the economy back in line......HOW? 300 measly dollars? With so much uncertainty BEFORE Sept 11th, nobody was spending, they were saving. Why? Because the president was already backtracking on his campaign issues. Now, the tragedy has compounded a bad situation, and they expect us (to pull them out of it by spending) to foot the bill? Cut the payroll taxes, work out something with these huge corporations with their billionaires to foot the bill. I am only interested in donating money to victims' families.

Why do you want to get rid of medicare.....if people don't have health insurance, that expense will just fall back on the hospitals which eventually will just fall back on us......Taking away many social programs would create even more problems.
