WeaponX, you really need to get a grip on all that angst you are harboring...
But anyway, to the issue at hand: the airline industry would have just went into Chapter 11 debt reorganization, like all other American businesses do, why do they get special treatment?
And don't say that they would have all shut down....they wouldn't have....
Typical Ryan..you believe they wouldn't have shut down..I believe they would have and anyone who believes in free enterprise would also believe it. There are many small airlines who run a tighter company that would have jumped all ovr the open flight market. Let the best survive and the worst fail. Fuck the Rep and Dems....let the damn industry fix itself. Please...
I guess that's the only thing giving Hitlary hope.
Seriously man, one month you criticize the guy, one week you praise him, and the next you criticize him again? Typical liberal behavior - inconsistency.
At least ATTEMPT to be consistent.
I never supported Clinton, of course, I'm a Republican - kind of hard to be inconsistent.
Scuse me t racer, I didn't clarify my point, I meant pre 9-11-01.
All bets are off after that. New ballgame. Still, I'm not interested in bailing out the government. I have a small business to run...and it's difficult enough without lamebrain decisions that shut down the economy. He (Bush) should have made maintaining the economy a priority. Instead, he pushed us closer to the edge, then attempted to backtrack when disaster struck us. Now, look at what we're facing. War, and more of a finance nightmare for the people. Judging the situation, do you think he is up to the task at hand? (Not the war, because the military is handling that, he has no experience there either, Rumsfeld, and Powell are the most important men in the war)
piss on the airlines, my company just recently filed ch11 and nobody is helping them out. i might lose my job cause of it. we produce a very important chemical for alot of industries. (unfortunately so do a few other companies). but anyway im tired of all these fatcats lining thier pockets all year and then when the shit hits the fan its "oh well we dont have the money" "we need help".
flying is way overrated anyway. we have all the technology to eliminate alot of business related flights, 4000 flights a day is just not neccesary.
