cheat days

It kind of depends on the person. I have one every two weeks. It helps keep me sane. Some people say you should only have cheat meals, but I need a day. It's not even that I eat that much food, I just eat the stuff I want.

To maintain my sanity...yes, it's definitely useful. But I don't have them every week. Depends on the person.

I agree for sanity purposes it is a must. But , I only have them when I just can't stand it anymore. There are times that I will go weeks and not crave anything , so instead of a having a cheat meal just because it is the weekend , I will wait until I am thinking about something all the time :p

I don't have a planned cheat meal anymore. I have 1 whenever I'm really craving something, or a family function. So I could go without a cheat meal for a month, or I may have 2 in 1 week.

And when it's time for cutting, there are no more cheat meals.

I'm exactly the same.

Just out of curiousity, should a cheat meal be higher in carb or does it matter? Also, besides haveing the cheat meal to keep your sanity, isn't the cheat meal used to shock the body with crappy food?

I have a cheat meal 1 time a week on leg day usually...i always eat pizza, but I am getting tired of it,lol....i'm thinking of something else is a good idea

waiting for jkurz...

btw, it depends on your diet. Normally, you wou'd be better off with a Cheat MEAL, not DAY... it would be VERY easy to ruin a perfectly good diet week with a day of excess.

instead of cheat days, its better to have scheduled high-carbs days, where you cycle both your carbs and your cals. Those are not considered cheating, as they are part of your diet to begin with.
