Thanks to my recent surgeries, I've lost my law enforcement career, so I figured I'd make my other passion my career for a while.
Ideally I'd like to get my CSCS cert. to deal with a higher level of clientele, and work in an environment which interests me much more than teaching overweight housewives how to use pink stability balls.
I know CSCS requires a degree, but does the degree need to be within a related field. I have degrees in two unrelated fields, and I assume they won't help. Am I wrong here...I hope
.
Based upon some research, my schedule, and a couple recommendations, I'm in the process of getting an ISSA cert. right now. Am I starting in the right direction?
I don't just want a piece of paper from a box of Cracker Jacks saying I know my shit like most PT schmucks. I've found that I actually know a lot more than all but one trainer at my gym, which is pretty sad, because in my opinion, I don't know shit, and(after 10 years) I'm just beginning to learn the complexities of this game. I really want to learn as much as possible, be recognized for that, and really help motivated people whom have as much passion as I do for iron.
Is my approach right? Should I be channeling my efforts in another direction?
