Aye, and the closer to raw the better on the oats: steel cut BARELY cooked is among the best sources EVER. Hulled Barley is better, but ya gotta cook it or it will break teeth.

Well certainly steel cut oats is as natural as it gets and will have a slight edge over most cereals.

Nobody mentioned Special K Protein Plus. It has the same protein and fiber as kashi with less sugar, not to mention it taste really good. All should try!

Nutritional value looks pretty good:

3/4th cup - 100 cals, 3g fat, 2g sugar, 5g fiber, 10g protein

just depends on your taste(in cereals) if you like it...

worth a shot, for sure. I add dried orange peel and cinamon among other things to my vanilla cream MM/ISO AGB mixture that use instead of milk, so flavor is not a problem...

It's my fav. Only thing I'm not crazy about is man does it give me the farts something awful :worried:

I don't use this cereal simply because all the protein is soy. I avoid soy like the plague. :)
