I'd imagine 3 cardio sessions consisting of 30 mins a week would be suffice. Make sure to keep it low intensity. Emphasise on diet, use calculators online to determine your calories etc. Can anyone expand on this?

I don't think 3 cardio sessions a week consisting of 30 minutes is quite going to cut it for fat loss. Try doing 5 cardio sessions a week starting at 40 minutes first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and adjust from there. Good luck.
Of course you will burn bodyfat by adjusting your diet and taking in less calories but eventually you will stagnate and will need to incorporate cardio to continue to experience fat loss.
