Carb up!

I am taking some pics on the 25 of this month and was wondering if anyone could help me out with carb loading for them? Any info would help. When to start the load, what to eat, and how many carbs are need to load?

The 2 biggest factors regarding carb intake on a carb-up are your level of depletion and your LBM.

I am in carb depletion right now. Just not sure when I need to start loading and how many carbs a day as i stated above

You'll prolly get more responses in the nutrition/diet part of elite!

You'll probably get many different responses, but I know in UD2 you do a 30-hour carbload (start Thursday evening and then go all day Friday), consuming 7-8g carbs/lb of LBM. Saturday morning you're supposed to look full, but not bloated at all. Keep in mind this is from FULL depletion. Like I said above, there's different levels of depletion. Not eating carbs for a couple of days isn't going to fully deplete you.

I have been low carb for about 2 weeks now and just started no carbs sunday. are you saying that i wont be depleted?

Depends on how low the "low" carb was, as well as your training.

3 or 4 days at 50g of carbs or less + a couple of depletion workouts (high rep, high volume) will get you fully depleted. You can tell if you're depleted or not because you basically can't get a pump in the gym if you are. You should be flat and weak.

days 1-3 0 carb day 4 150 day 5 300 day 6 600 day 7 600. Tried and true by 90% of bodybulders out there.

Is there any logic/science behind that? It seems counterintuitive to have the high carb days so far away from the no carb days. Logic tells you to load up on days 4 and 5 and tale off days 6 and 7. This is also how UD2 is set-up and Lyle knows his stuff.
