Can't back into ketosis after carbup...

I am not sure why but its been 3 days and I can't seem to get back into ketosis. I had my carb up friday at 10am to saturday at noon and took probably 400g carbs in that time. On saturday after I stopped eating carbs I played 30 minutes of tennis I played. Sunday I did moderate intensity cardio on the treadmil for 35 minutes at 5mph. I also played tennins for 1 hour. Monday I did HIIT for 30 minutes between 4.5mph and 10mph. I also lifted for 30 minutes fairly intensly and played tennis for 1.5 hours at a high intensity. Tuesday I did HIIT for 30 minutes and then I lifted for 45 minutes at an intense level. I never ate more then 20g of carbs in this time period, and was following 165g of pro, 120g fat, which is a 750 calorie defficit for my weight that I got from the CKD calculator. What the hell is going on? I am about ready to give up and just go to eating a mod. carb diet for the next 10 days instead of CKD.
 
Your fats seem to be low. I would take in lots more EFA's.

I think that you are supposed to have something like a 75% fat ratio the first day or two to get back in ketosis.
 
Get yourself some R-ALA!!!! It will get you back into ketosis right quick if you take it during carb-up day, and then with your carbs on regular days. The price of Glucorell-R (sp?) just went down...the big bottle (240 caps)is going for $36 now when you use the afdiscount coupon code. I used this stuff the last time I ran a keto diet, and would never do another keto without it.
 
Yep, I agree with the others, by Mr. X's calculator, your fat should be way higher than your protein for the first couple of days after a carb-up.

Also, keto sticks aren't 100%... are there any other signs that you are in ketosis?
 
MOst people won't be able to achieve ketosis unless at least 60% of cals is coming from fat :o

How about the cotton mouth and stale taste in my mouth and the old man smell eminating from my sweat.

Would those be good signs?
 
I was taking a lot of r-ala with every meal. Maybe it was just my high protein intake, but when I first got into ketosis last week I ate the same ratio's, and did less cardio.

lol, good no..signs yes. :)

But I wasn't asking what the signs are.. I was asking dr0832 if he was noticing other indications, like maybe he IS in ketosis but the strips just aren't showing it. Sometimes my strips say no, when I know I am.
