Can someone tell me why the price of protein has gone up 60%?

I haven't bought any in 2 months. Have the prices gone up since then?

get a better blender....it'll chop up the oats really fine and they won't settle. I spent like 45 bucks on a good blender and it made all the difference compared to the cheap one i had.
i mean, even with a really good blender it still kinda does but that you shake it up before you drink it and it separates again.
yeah i got a shitty hand held one
sucks

Why not? The processing plant has to truck the milk from the farm and then truck the bottled milk from the plant to where ever, so THEIR costs have increased.

The farmer needs fuel for farm equipment, and is facing increased costs in terms of electricity (a dairy farm uses a LOT of electricity) all that contributes to increased costs to raise the animals and store the milk.

Of course. However, this has not constituted a "60%" increase in other goods which require shipping. Maybe if the price of all other food stuffs/retail goods were comparably increased I would have a better time believing this is the main culprit.

I like this argument better. But still, I don't see a similar price increase in all produce/meat, and everything else that's produced on a farm..

But I'm just a dumb pigslut, so what do I know?
lol

man I found this protein at Walmart that cost $14 for a 2lb tub, shit tastes bomb too.. It's called Six Star Muscle Fuel "hardcore strength whey protein"

It's usually priced at $25 dollars everywhere else

25g's per scoop
30 servings

The last time I bought a 10 lb bag of ON protein it was $69.99. Last week, it was $92.99. Pretty significant. Fuckers.

I don't think gas alone accounts for the rise in price. I think it's a combination of factors: increased cost of corn, increased cost of gas and diesel, increased cost of utilities, increased cost of plastic to make the jugs that you put the milk in (plastics are made from petrochemicals). Hell, for all I know large animal vets have increased their fees because their costs are going up (and if you think it costs a lot to go to the doctor, you should try having the doctor come to you!)

I just checked the company I order from (all the whey) and the last few orders I made with them. They have increased their prices since I last ordered, too, but only by about 21%.
