sorry that it strikes a nerve when all southern people are linked into one big bundle but it does.

There is no gawd damn reason at all to take any charity money and spend it on bullshit, no matter what the situation. I didn't get shit thru all this and had to do it all on my own, so it pisses me off like the next that people are doing these things. Im in the red with finances so damn bad and having a hard time getting my home and family back to normal. But I don't abuse the system, never would.

Its so easy to package it as ... oh southern' states.... and yes it does tick me off because each person is individual.

I've lost thousands upon thousands by hurricanes and storms in the last 4 years, i've flooded 5 times and have had any help. Just recently I've been put under water and lost alot of my kids belongings. I battle this every year and do it all on my own. Single parent, doing it alone and by the time I get my house in order it happens again.

I have a been thru some crap lately. I am sorry im not in the normal Frisky mood, but i just went thru an ordeal with my sister in ICU and dealing with the way they are taking care of her. I had to come back to work to deal with some issues so I can't be there and its got me on edge.

It wasn't a direcet strike at you at all, but the fact that my tolerance is a bit low right now.

It's all about status and perceptions. People think of the south and they think of dukes of hazzard, dileverance, and other movies. The real issue here is that government fucks-up anything it touches. Real people... hard-working, wage-earning, tax-paying people trying to pay bills and raise kids wound-up paying for that shit.
